This is used as an objection against religion in general but this is hardly an objection to the truth of Christianity.

So the second guy lying to these people. Christianity isn't as big as it is because it's true. It's big because the Holy Roman Empore and then catholic church used Christianity as a form of control.

The told people if you don't follow God you will go to hell. They gained submission through fear. Then they told people if you don't do what we say it is the same as disobey God. They used fear of hell to take money and exploit the people. They did it for so long that people believed it and feared going to hell.

The quickiest way to get some one to do what you want or to believe what you want them to believe is to instill fear in them.

Christianity is popular because it spread across Europe and fear was the tactic to get people to submit. Even though that tactic isn't used any more and it's taken a nicer face it gained in popularity because of fear.

Don't have to believe me go study your history. Go look up all the evil crap the catholic church did for hundreds of years.

I'm sorry but the second guy is flat out lying to these people. He brushing under the rug all thr horrible and terrible things Christianity has don't to gain the followers it has.

You don't need to believe me go study your history. Really look in to it you will see how insidious the church was.

I have have had people say to me that if I was born in India I would be a Hindu instead of a Christian.

So I ask, and therefore the supernatural doesn't exist and therefore Christianity is false? They will say yes.

So then I say, well if YOU were born in India, you too would be a Hindu and therefore atheism is false. So now both the supernatural and naturalism are false and there is no door no. 3. So everything is false?

My comment never gets answered. Does the bible teach the earth to be flat? IMO it does. I believe the earth is flat the bible seems to validate these claims.

"We're right and they're wrong" isn't a good answer. Throughout history people have almost always followed the religion of their culture. And why would God send a baby to a Muslim or Hindu family knowing they'll almost certainly not become a Christian and will, according to Christian belief, go to Hell? Not very loving. for an all-loving god.

I really like your stuff I think you’re very intelligent and you’re very good with a lot of your stuff but you’ve made some serious errors on a few of your videos. First of all if I can prove to you that the six days of creation we’re all the same length without any assumptions, your belief in deep time does not match the biblical words you cannot twist Yom with three qualifiers. I suggest you rethink if you’re going to follow the Bible or if you’re going to follow the worldview.

Was brought up in a Christian environment then dove head first into drugs, alcohol and heavy metal and then popped out 24 years later saved and sober for 6 years. Your environment does play a major role in what we are and become that's why I really never stopped praying, stay close to God.

Many muslims get dreams nowadays about Christ, even though they had never heard of Him before. Explain that, mr. Hawkins.

NKJ Acts 17:26-27 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; ..

Different types of sins are lying, stealing, coveting, using God’s name in vain, dishonoring your parents, looking at someone with lust, having other idols/god(s) beside God, and more. Sin is so serious in God’s eyes because sin the cause of all pain, suffering, and death. Yet God STILL sent His Son Jesus to willing die on the cross for all OUR sins and rose from the dead three days later because God loves us soooo much. If you repent (recognize that Jesus Christ is Lord and by His grace through faith in Him we are saved) and turn to God, then God will save you from your just punishment of hell and give you the gift of eternal life with Him! After you have been saved, make sure to turn away from and forsake all your sins (but don’t just say you wanna stop sinning actually make a change. Otherwise your are playing the hypocrite. And you can only do this with God’s help and strength), live for God for your entire life, and always love God more than anyone or anything! God DOES NOT hate you, GOD LOVES YOU and wants to SAVE YOU!!! And don’t wait either because you can die tomorrow, tonight in your sleep, or even in the next hour! And once you have died and you haven’t repented and turned to God, it’ll be too late. God loves you more than you can even understand and He is always waiting for you to come to Him!

Yeah, I hear this really lame argument regularly also, and need only mention the explosion of Christianity in atheist China, atheist Russia, Hindu India, and Africa to eliminate it. That there are actually consequences in doing so to become a Christian in these places speaks all the more to the power of the reality of the Christian God moving so powerfully on these people as to allow them to convert anyhow.

In the West, we once new God, all Western Nations, and turned away collectively… There's a terrible price to pay for that, as Israel of old found out. This is why we're seeing a substantial number of Christian's falling away. But for some reason it remains around 85% of all Americans still claim some form of Christianity, even though there is no price to pay for changing beliefs… If anything, it's advantageous to do so.

Yeah, that really doesn’t answer the question. The question is that to someone who has been indoctrinated their entire lives by almost everyone around them including the people they love and trust, how do you convince them that they’re wrong.

My forefathers worshipped Ndem, Nyamkpe and a plethora of other deities; but I’m a Christian today. So, how come? The truths of Christianity bowled me over. I hurled everything at it including the kitchen sink almost like I didn’t want it to be true, but Christianity held out. I’d be a total nincompoop, a dumbass and an utter dumkopf not to accept Christ. I bless the Name of the Almighty that I did – and always will.

“If you declare with your mouth “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). Now is the time to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. Obey His commands and repent of your sins because Jesus is coming back soon. Tomorrow isn’t promised.

So ,if I believe things that I was taught by my culture, I should reject those ideas because they are not true, they are just a product of my culture? So should I reject the other beliefs given to me by my culture (because all beliefs given by culture are invalid)? Like the idea that all people are equal (there is no such thing as a superior race/group), that women are just as valuable as men (and should be able to do whatever men do in society), that gay and transgender people should not be persecuted. Are all these beliefs to be rejected? I'm sure if I grew up in another place, I would likely think differently.

A coherent question. But, the answers denote astronomical stupidity from these two jerks. Indeed, people embrace the religion of their parents or the environment in which they live. Most believers were indoctrinated at a very young age, before they were old enough to question the hocus-pocus that was being hammered in their head. Atheism is not a religion. It's precisely an absence of belief and superstition. Atheists say that there is not enough evidence for the existence of a god who answers prayers, and they encourage people not to "believe", but to acquire right knowledge and to THINK for themselves.

If christianity was absolutely the only path to salvation..then you would think that christianity,no matter the limited exposure, should have taken hold in those other countries.According to you Frankie,Its a self evident truth.

Of course people can go against the beliefs of the culture, but the point of saying you'll likely have the culture of your nation is not why it is mentioned. It puts into doubt that you were called by God to believe in Jesus and it shows how unfair it is for one religion to have a monopoly on heaven and hell for all others. So being born in a Muslim country, there's a very good chance Christians believe you'll go to hell, but to children born in America the chances of be Christian are higher. Jesus doesn't mind giving you parents that will teach you the path to hell. Jesus doesn't save humanity l, he condemns it.

The "evidence" for any god is equivalent to the "evidence" for santa claus. If you decide you want to believe something you can use stories and anecdotes to support it and can delude yourself to what ever extent you want.

Without someone telling you these stories what are the chances of a god revealing itself to anyone. Absolutely ZERO! The curiosity may be there but no actual god will ever present itself. That is the job of convincing wackos.

A primary basis for belief is when enough people choose to believe something, it lends it a fake credibility. When someone like frank, who appears intelligent, spouts this silliness it also lends a similar fake credibility.

All any of this baloney proves is that humans are desperately trying to make sense of things that remain very much beyond our knowledge or capacity.

And there will always be people stroking their own egos and sense of self worth selling it to the desperate and the gullible.

The exceptions to the rule are irrelevant. The point is people are social creatures and most often accept the religious programming they were born into. If you are born in Utah, you have a 2/3 chance of being Mormon. If you are born in the UK, your chances are 1 in 350 of being Mormon. Whether Mormonism is true or not is irrelevant. It is all about where you were born and how you were raised.
