We should all support movements to provide free birth control and sex education to the youth of this country

Yes, they can. It's pure ignorance for any born again, bought in the Blood, Bible-believing Christian to go against God Himself by trying to steal the free will that HE gave us.

Newsflash, guys. Abortions will happen whether it's legal or not. The only difference is that the pregnant woman will die along with her unborn baby. Women will go back to throwing themselves down the stairs and potentially breaking their necks, they will die of infections from botched abortions in dirty back alley "clinic" or of internal bleeding from the old "wire hanger" method.

NO ONE wants an abortion like they want ice cream. Women "want" abortions like a wolf "wants" to chew its' own paw off to escape a hunter's trap.

If you condemn a 14 year old rape victim and say she deserves to suffer the trauma of carrying a baby when she is still a baby herself, you are NOT "Pro-Life".

If you condemn a mother in her 3rd trimester about to die of septicemia, because a WANTED pregnancy went terribly wrong and has already aborted itself but the doctors won't remove the dead fetus before term and removing it before term "violates the hospital's policy", you are NOT "Pro-Life".

If you condemn a woman for aborting a baby with a deadly, agonizing birth like Tay Sachs or a defect that would cause the child to die only minutes or hours after being born, all the while forcing the mother watch helplessly as her baby dies in her arms, you are NOT "Pro-Life".

As a Christian woman, I would never even consider having an abortion unless the pregnancy was fatal. But to stand there from a place of judgment and conceit when we all know that God is the only righteous Judge in the Universe, is to put yourself above God by condemning the very people He died to save. This condescending attitude is arrogant, shameful and wrong. Christ called us to love others. There is no love in facilitating the suffering of other human beings under the guise of "standing for our faith". Stop it.

It's easy to be pro-choice when you are not the one who is being killed.

I find it so strange we only talk about abortion and homosexuality. I see so many commandments being broken by Christians but we don't address it. Does it make us feel better because we are not committing abortion or gay? I see a strong need to preaching on Jesus's first 2 commandments (golden rule & love Lord with all your heart, mind & soul). If you can follow these 2 rules I doubt you will violate the original commandments because they all fall under those 2. Jesus simplified it for us and we still don'tget it. I haven't heard about the Golden Rule since I was a child and I see it's violation cause so much strife and death. What about thou shall not committ adultery? Divorce rate even among Christians is crazy. Preach on holding the family together. Preach on envy and selfishness. We focus on 2 issues to the detriment of the rest. Just never sits right in my spirit.

Such a nice little answer, right? Oh, this highly controversial and debated topic in America but don’t worry, Christians have the answer that clears it all up so quickly. Man people must be dumb???
Or maybe we are uncomfortable with this topic and only WANT it to be simple. I want to sincerely apologize to anyone that either considered or had an abortion and was forced to question their faith in Jesus over it. Maybe you weren’t a Christian but we’re open to debate and then heard this response. I am so sorry for you.
Tell me that deciding whether or not carrying a baby in your body to term (if you even had the option to do so safely which no one seems to bring up in these debates) with much judgment probably over the child being in there was and enough let alone time he temptation to probably go and terminate pregnancy in secret. And now what, you can’t be a Christian? Did you read the part in the Bible where it says it you make a serious, difficult, potentially shameful decision (even once) you are banned for life from knowing Jesus Christ???
    No?
Oh right, that’s because it’s not in the Bible and therefore not true for Christians.
If you do feel shame and guilt over getting an abortion, I plead with you to run TO Jesus. Not away.
If you aren’t sure how you feel, run TO Jesus, not away.
If you hear/watch messages like this and think Christianity may not be for you, turn this stuff on mute, then run TO Jesus and not away.
“I tell you for certain that everyone who hears my message and has faith in the one who sent me has eternal life and will never be condemned. They have already gone from death to life.”

"“Spread the love of God through your life but only use words when necessary.” – Mother Teresa

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’" – Jesus (Matthew 25:40-45)

There is no one more helpless, more vulnerable, more innocent than an unborn child. Everyone wants to be Christian in their "own way", but there is only one way. Follow (or at least strive each day to follow) Christ in everything.

I absolutely believe that Christians can be wrong about things and still be Christians. "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." It says nothing about being pro-life. I do believe abortion is wrong, but humans are uninformed sometimes. It's impossible for any person to be completely right about everything. People who are pro-choice often are so because they have sympathy for the mother. A lot of the time it's good intentioned. Jesus covers all sins. He knows that we are weak. It honestly makes me upset when people put all these stipulations on whether or not you can be a Christian. Like, do y'all WANT people to go to Hell? Absolutely horrible is the attitude of some of you "Christians." So many people don't acknowledge their pride or anger. And you're quick to look over those sins. Stop playing God. You don't get to decide who goes to heaven or not. And thank God, because based on a lot of these comments, it looks like you'd make the narrow path even narrower.

Are there circumstances where God has allowed us abortion for? Yes.
Should abortion be considered the first option, or always available solely because the mother wants the option??
    NO.

I got an argument with my cousin about abortion that I won’t try to stop someone that’s going to have one because it’s not my life. She said that we she should tell them they are wrong and stop them. I told her I'm no one to judge them and it's not my job to try to stop them. They are going to do what they are going to do. She said I was pro choice I guess I am because I won’t stop them. Like I said it's not my life I can barely fight my demons let alone another person’s. she said I was going to hell because I won’t stop a abortion from happening. I guess you can say she is a better Christian than I am but as Christians aren't we no one to judge and not try to be God. Also I won’t criticize a person from having one because it’s not my place. She proceeded to tell me that God going to be mad at me because I won’t stop it from happening.

🔥 The shape of a body doesn’t matter right ladies? So a brain is the one thing “we are” and a heart beat is just a pump. I still think it’s ok(do-able) to have an early abortion and a late term abortion doesn’t have an equal chance at life. There should be extracted and incubation procedures. The argument sounds like who’s right is it to say it’s “just a fetus.”

BS. Jesus NEVER mentions abortion. Neither does the 10 commandments. However, the Bible DEMANDS abortion and gives directions for it if you even suspect your wife of adultery. The Bible, Gods Word, even puts a value of a fetus as equal to a “thigh” muscle. You CANNOT follow the Bible and be proLife. You are going Against the word of God if you are proLife

If the fetus is aborted it wasn't in God's plan for that child to be born.

He is right abortion exists because the church consents to it. If the church takes a firm stand against abortion it wouldn’t be legal, but too many Christians continue to vote for those who support, protect and promote it.

I think a lot of the time both sides in this debate claim they have the right answer and that the other side is morally depraved unloving or otherwise wrong when really this is often a no win situation no matter what side you are on. Assuming the small group of cells that has begun forming into a foetus and eventually mature human counts as a human being in the usual sense of the word how is it possible to make a right decision when saving one life means wrecking or possibly ending another, it is like the well known trolly problem, I don’t believe there always can be a ‘right’ answer.

As a society I believe we are too immature to make that decision and knowing the nature of humanity we may never be mature enough but nonetheless it’s a choice we must make.

That said we don’t have to say that all abortions are fine or all abortions are wrong , that is a false dichotomy, each case is a unique case and I believe the closest answer to the impossible ‘right’ one may be somewhere in the middle.

There is no sharp line for when a foetus becomes sapient for the pro choice position and no right answer to the trolley problem or in this case abortion problem for those pro life.

I think both of those names( pro choice and pro life) are unhelpful , I just wish people on both sides could be more understanding and find a way to discuss it in a mature way that doesn’t paint the ‘ other ‘ side as children of the devil or bigots. It’s classic tribalism.
