Bob presents what seems to be an insurmountable issue of epistemology. Ultimately can we really use logic to talk about God? Frank explains. Bob responds.

    "I'm a secular Christian agnostic."

    No you aren't.

I also grew up in the church, and I too was very troubled for a good 5 or so years about this subject. I am a quite confident Christian now, so I escaped that period of hopelessness.
Many of you have probably heard the (silly) assertion that logic simply leads to atheism. I disagree, I think logic leads to agnosticism, neither atheism nor, dare I say, Christianity. However, that leaves you in the position that this kind fellow found himself in at the end of this video. You must make a conclusion, because not picking either one has dire consequences for all of humanity(though, of course us Christians argue the consequences of choosing atheism are yet more dangerous)
This world needs action, and sitting there saying, "I don't know" is the opposite of that. Now I'm not saying agnostics are completely impotent due to their worldview, but I am saying that their pursuit of living can be easily washed away.

The end saddens me. We laugh because what he says contradicted himself, and it was a good point. He doesn’t trust what he says and he means that. I mean Bob is right, in a worldview where you don’t start with God it’s left to our own epistemologies or you could say our own presuppositions to dictate what is true and what isn’t. The problem is when we don’t start with God, truth, our worldview, and our beliefs are merely subjective. we have no justification to think that what we or anyone else believes is right, we have no justification to think what we do is in any way valuable because we could be wrong about everything we claim to know. OR we could easily just be brains in a vat. If God doesn’t exists our life is meaningless with no reason to believe what we think. But we don’t live this way. We live as if we believe things are meaningful, and that there is truth and reason. I can justify this by asserting that God exists. That is my basis, as a Christian, to know certainly that I’m not a brain in a vat, and that I can know things for certain. So the argument is the impossibility of the contrary. Without starting with God you cannot justify even knowledge itself. And you have no reason as an atheist to argue for your worldview because you could be wrong about everything you claim to know, your truth is merely brain gases and nothing outside of that, your truth is subjective,I could keep going. Without God you’re reduced to an absurd view, but people choose absurdity because they love their sin

Easy solution: Compare world views on their coherence/grounding of presuppositions instead of comparing evidential claims as this fella points out. Look into the transcendental argument for God(TAG)

Did he just admit that he is happily clueless (especially based on his assumption that human logic ultimately answers nothing)?

This guy “knows” all knowledge is going to come from his own mind. He is absolutely certain that he is absolutely unable to be certain about anything.

I also believe that read the Bible often. Also, pray. Pray if you are not getting an answer. Pray and pray to know God. Some how, you actually do and then, when God speaks, it is a command to do something or say something about a sin. I had that. Not what you want God to talk to you about your sin. Or, God looks at the people who are not that good looking and have bad teeth and not that smart. Even women. Maybe, Peter was a homely man and missing teeth and short and may have a hot head. Jesus sees the humble.

The problem with believing in God is that it’s a relationship not a theory. Yes it’s based off faith (biblical definition) , but even this faith is from a relationship granted by God.

All he needs to do is compare the coherence of each world view, and whether or not the presuppositions are justified and he will get his final answer

All religions boast absolute truth, and atheism is a religion. There's my truth, there's your truth, and somewhere out there is the truth. It's on you to discern where your faith lies because no one but God has absolute knowledge.

I would point to absolute objective truths that we can concede such as the gospel truth. Science will never detract from the human condition.

Bob showing the fallacy of the evidential argument for God's existence. Unless you start with God, not the laws of logic or evidence, you are lost in an epistemological morass of which Bob speaks.

Turek's argument did absolutely nothing to turn Bob to the God who is there or to salvatìon thru His Son.

Then you are not a Christian. Going to a Catholic school doesn’t make you a Christian. Being a Christian means you believe that Jesus is one of the three parts of God period.

What I have notice so far "the one thing in common" among the unbelievers is that they are using the "slavery argument" like somehow to prove that God does not exist. So the logic goes like this, if slavery then no God or if God then no slavery so it follows by their assumption of no God therefore, no God but there is slavery so the result is "a self defeating argument." You see the issue here is not even about God's existence but rather i think its a challenge for mere mortals to fix there so called rational thinking. The rational animal is trying pull some tricks to his owner, the tricks his owner taught him.

“He who hath ears to hear, let him hear”

This was said by Jesus a few times.. I believe simply because… the message of Christ, the message of forgiveness, humility, grace, faith, patience, understanding, charity, honesty, truth, lovelyness, righteousness, purity, and what is hopeful and good (think on these things phil 4:8)

I believe that these things were best represented, in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the testimony, that has been given to us, past down from generation to generation. I believe that if we aren’t looking toward the wisdom, and knowledge of the Bible, for instruction and correction. Than we stray away from these things that I’ve listed…

If we can’t come to a understandment, a realization that these things are true, that these things are the only things worth clinging to, and aspiring for. Than we can come to no other “logical” reasoning for life…

I challenge someone to propose a better book than the Bible that represents these things better than the Bible (yes I’ve read Quran, not even close)

If we aren’t looking for these things, we tend to fall into our own lusts, greeds, envy’s, gluttons, wrath’s, Prides, sloths, destructions, pollutions…

God has given us the gift of life, to be able to differentiate between theses things… some have ears to hear, some aren’t blind to what is true, and honest…and on the other hand some don’t…

We’re witnesses of his creation… that understand little about what we “choose” if any

“A man’s goings are from the Lord, how Than can a man understand his own way” provers 20:24

I feel like if we are ignoring, the truth of the matter, we are professing ourselves to be wise, we aren’t humbling ourselves to GOD…

There is no greater hope than heaven, this is what God will give us, through the acknowledgement of what he has done for us, in giving his only Son…

Agnostic/atheists don’t have this hope, and without this faith, it will lead one to be morally stagnant…

ignoring what is right within our conscience, is irresponsible.

This has already gotten at the point where turek has to concede on the impossibility, what they are discussing is not a matter capable of being verified by generally accepted principles, since epistemology or should i say models of perception can never arrive to the conclusion on biblical truth, although turek's point of view is making affirmations despite perhaps some one might prove it as his own bias. Axioms producing the intended outcome. Im coming from a biblical point of view, knowing God and believing in Him is not a matter of logical argument and epistemological investigation, if you are a christian you should place this on the top most important consideration, the Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God, the things that a natural man (unbeliever) cannot accept. The conclusion, only the Holy Spirit can take us to the full acceptance and understanding of God from a biblical point of view. Goes on to say that we can only do so much and go so far with our logical or epistemological arguments and ultimately fail to recognize that God is not a proposition or a hypothesis to grapple ourselves with but He is a being who is compassionate and loving. Know God as a person to begin with not a proposition to be demonstrated, God bless.

Logic is very, very simple yet can get extremely complicated to comprehend. It goes so far that the logic no longer makes sense, and you simply have to believe in it. Your proof why you should believe in it, is based on what you are allowed to comprehend. Your life.
