Im so happy he compared Homosexuality to Divorce. I agree 100% and have been putting forth this argument for yrs. Im still with my wife because I was scarred by divorce and I also had a understanding of what Gods rules were. If your pointing fingers at homosexual couples and than going home to your 3rd wife. Followers of Christ are not supposed to be part of this world, meaning staying out of politics. It’s in the Bible

What does culture say? What are the cultural messages going out into the world? Fornication once considered taboo. Today kids are more likely to be made fun of if they haven't had sex before 17 yrs. Of age.
Divorce is common, marriage is entered into more lightly. Remarriage is more common.
How we look at sexual identity is very different. What constitutes a family.
Most of these things are experiments and we really have no idea on how they will affect future generations.
We are seeing some pf the fruits of broken families throughsuch common divorce.
What does our culture say are we as individuals the most important thing and is our happiness paramount.
How do we combat these problems? Laws?
I think we are fighting unseen powers and principalities.
Propaganda and lies are being promoted.
Satan and God are in a battle for people's souls. God's Kingdom has a culture. And so does Satan
LadyGa ga has more influence than any politician.

It seems that Christianity seemed more at it's core purose in Rome when it was outlawed. When it gained exceptance and political power it' became watered down. it came upwith a lot of uncharted territory. Do Christians go to war. Etc. Power can be intoxicating so much so we can forgot who really is in control of things. Generally i see in the United States that politics, military strength and patrotic affiliation are too strongly in bed with Christianity.
Stop trying to change the world by typical human means.
Christians in the early church had no confidence in their country, no interest in the military as a way to defend faith or spread it. No say in politics. No special allegiance but considered themselves first as ambassadors of the Kingdom of God.
God will keep Israel because God said that he will the United States military is not God.

Let's vote for Shiria law. Sò we can stone to death adulterers.
I am not serious by any means but even in Christian camps there will be different views on legislation. Laws need to be enforceable. One may think that possession of pot should be punisbable by jail time. Or you may feel abortion is immoral, and a crimminal act. If so then what punishment is there for this crime? We do not stone to death adulterers, as in Jesus's time.
The moral law of God points to how we should live but aldo shows that we fail.
I do not think that politics are the main things influencing culture.
    Legislating does notvequate to compliance.
The Kingdom of God is not legislated on the hearts of people and we do not add souls to the Kingdom via the power of politics.
I find in the u.s. that there is too much belief in politics to ensure the country is Christian.
The thing is being a citizen allows you participation in politics. So yes do your civic duty.

Politics have tried and in some way succeeded in invading Christianity…. we haven't moved or attacked politics ……
You change a society one person at a time …. we shouldn't be shamed into silence

The problem is christians that belive that they kan believe in their own power. They do not understand that God is in charge of their faith. They want to be their own God so they can tell people how to live, because are not able to live like they think God wants themselves to live. Most people comfort themselves with lies because they do not want to admit that they do not have free will.
My subjectiv observation is : If a whole church was arrested accused of beeing christians, most of them would be released cause lack of proof.

Remember- you are standing in the MODERN church. According to the Bible, the next inevitable step is the removal of the church BY the state BY force. This is a good reason to NEVER, adopt 501c3 status.

Christianity started in North Korea and spread to South Korea. American and Russian politics and their colonialism of the Korean Peninsula exacerbated the Korean War. If you want to be political, then you have to be wise about it. Wise like serpents and innocent like doves (Matt 10:16). Not unwise like certain evangelicals who support Trump and believe false prophecies about Covid-19.

Top 5 atheist countries in the world. 1) China, 2) Sweden, 3) Czech republic, 4) United kingdom, 5) Japan.. Those countries are doing just fine with a atheist population.

If the church wants to be involved in politics then their tax exempt rights should be revoked, it's as simple as that.
