What’s your position on “Medicare for All”? Or at least how would you like to see our healthcare system changed?

So private healthcare has high administrative overhead because of regulations.. so instead of fixing the regulations, they want the gobmint to take over? Gobmint always decreases efficiency and increases administration and regulation. Plus, gobmint subsidies always increase costs.

Medicare is a system that people pay into for 40+ years. Of course millennials want that for free without paying into it.

Okay. Just clearing something up. Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg also support a public option.

Crowder claims that the UK NHS has nothing better than the US healthcare system (If we for some reason disclude costs, infant mortality and life expectancy LOL). But his only "proof" that the US system is better is: a better mortality rate in 1 specific cancer and more MRI machines. Okay? But then what about the UK and its' better survivability for:

    – Diabetes
    – Leukemia
    – Strokes
    – HIV/AIDS
    – Coronary heart disease
    – Birth traumas
    – Inflammatory/Heart illnesses
    – Malnutrition
    – Parkinson's disease

See thats what happens when you don't focus on one specific way to die you disgingenuous fraud. If you consider all cancers, then the UK is slightly above the US mortality wise. If you include all diseases then the UK is significantly below. Go figure.

The UK is also superior for:

    – Prenatal care/giving birth (Which would have been an easy comeback to Crowder since this isn't even debatable unless you're a frothing moron)
    – Long term care. NHS hospitals are often full and not encouraged to kick patients into the gutter.
    – Access to care (Crowder pretends this isn't a factor much like other stupid right wing shills)
    – Medical errors. 1,700 die in the UK because of this every year. The US? 250,000. LMFAO.
    – Healthcare spending (The UK spends far less)
    – Medication (Good luck US diabetics)
    – Calling an ambulance without paying $2,000
    – Not getting stung for in hospital costs which don't make sense. $200 for "cough suppressant aids" (Tissues). Yeah because thats the sign of a superior healthcare system. Paying $200 for tissues. Wow. You got us.

Your argument that America has 9 times the number of MRI machines is incredibly stupid when you consider that America also has 9 times the population of Canada.
As is your point about Applejacks and cereal killers compared to Medical debt and bankruptcy.
Why do people declare bankruptcy? Because they can't pay back their debt. Why might they be in debt? Medical Bills.
See how smoothly I was able to connect bankruptcy and medical debt without having to make any kind of logical leaps? Try doing that with Applejacks and murder. You can't, because Applejacks and murder are in no way related.

Love alot of the things Crowder says, so often he strikes the nail right on the head.. But calling America wealthy is seriously misleading when the nations debt is so absurd that there's a Zero chance to pay it.. Which is why the US is having to forfeit more n more businesses and other assets to China.. Who are the majority debt holders of the US debt..

If healthcare in Canada & The UK is so cheap and efficient, then y aren’t Americans flocking 2 Canada or Britain 2 get some of that golden quality healthcare they can’t get in the U.S? Oh wait they don’t now do they Bernie Mussolini ?! It’s virtually always the other way around! It’s the U.S that has the quality healthcare, not the most financially efficient, but the best in quality.

Lol, Steven said the U.S. is the richest country in the world. So is that the reason why the U.S. is nearly $30T in debt to China? I have healthcare coverage through my employer and the VA. I've had to wait 5 months to get an appointment to have my foot looked at. I called a private doctor and had an appointment in less than a week. So ya…. socialized healthcare is horrible! In 2009 Steven made a video about how horrible the Canadian healthcare system is. If you haven't seen it, go check it out.

I love private insurance, especially when I see the exact needs I am in dire need for written in their package for what they offer and costs. The only problem with the health care industry here in America is damn drug prices. Two of my meds are 1200 a piece each month this is a on going problem.

what they need is audit of all costs because paying $20k for a birth of a child or $10k for a tetanus shot is insane

I think there need to be a better free market on privatized health insurance if more companies started to provide it you'd more then likely see prices decrease as well as efficiency go up there's kind of a monopoly on it now in the US. If blue cross blue shield is your only insurance option they xan charge you what they want and they know it but if you had options they'd have to compete for your business

    The NHS sucks.

They misdiagnosed my aunt and sent her home with painkillers and she died the next day of an aneurysm.

Healthcare tourism is a major issue with people coming to the UK just for free operations and procedures.

Wait times in A&E are awful and overcrowding is a problem too.

We also had to shut down our entire country to make sure Covid didn’t overwhelm our medical facilities…

If we get medical medical for all but after the first year of paying the extreme premiums and then we get check out and find out if we are healthy and don't do thing like smoking that will damage our bodies. Then our premiums will go way down. What do you think about that.and we keep going every year and see if we are taking care of our bodies.

Jo most of the things you said were true, but your healthcare doesn't work. If you have to pay like 5000$ to have a baby then there is clearly something wrong. Also, private ensurance won't go away just because you have Medicare for all.
    Germanys Medicare works great.

Love it when you wrongly name the UK when in reality look at the UK now. It will be the first country open. And even the efficient Germans are complementing the UK for their National Health Service. Your facts on the UK are at best embarrassing from a Brits point of view. I like you buddy but seriously you need to open your eyes a little more or pay attention to what is actually going on.

Crowders statement on the WHO report is completely dishonest. He claims the entire study is based around people's opinion of their healthcare service. In the report they state the responsiveness to healthcare (public opinion) makes up 12.5% of the calculated index formula. Actually it's contribution to the study can be as low as 6.25% when you take into consideration the statement comes from the second half of the Index calculation that gets broken apart into 5 seperate segments.

I talked to 5 doctors about it "Medicare for All"; a brain surgeon, cardiologist, opthamologist, pediatrician and radiologist and they all said it would suck.

Lower quality of care and long wait lines.

Doctors and hospitals would make 30% less, get overloaded and the doctor shortage would get worse.
