There are a couple of passages in the New Testament, such as Mark 16:9-20, and the story of the woman caught in adultery in John 7:53-8:11which are not found in some of the earliest manuscripts. This is no secret, that is why these passages are always accompanied by a footnote indicating that we donโ€™t know whether or not these passages were in the original transcripts. Does this impact the message or reliability of the Gospels? No way. ย

I hate textual criticism. This is why I'm King James only.

    Revelation 22:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

The person who took Mark 16:9-20 and John 8:1-11 out of the Bible is in HELL right now!

Just out here doing my routine "Recommended Videos" watch, and I realize that this particular clip is from a conference that I was able to lead music for. That's my guitar over there, and I didn't realize it 'til the video was almost over. Haha! Thank you, Dr. Turek for all that you do. It was a pleasure getting to serve alongside you!

But you don't mention that both of those dubious passages have huge implications. Without the ending of Mark we have the first gospel (according to most scholars) ending with the women running off and not telling anyone Jesus rose from the dead. It's as though the gospel author is excusing why no one had heard about this tall tale until Mark made it up. Awkward.

And without Jesus seeming to end Mosaic capital punishment we are left with the story in Matthew where Jesus complains the Pharisees have overridden Moses on the capital punishment for back talking minors bit.

So if you don't care about the credibility of the gospel witness to the empty tomb and you don't think public execution for the 21 or so things in Mosaic law are at all important issues, move along. Nothing worth worrying about.

Oh yeah and that bit about the snakes. Great quality control there on managing the transmission of the Holy Word of God, Holy Spirit!

The so scholars are not that wise that they don't think that Mark 16:9-20 is part of scripture because it clearly states that if someone believes the gospel he will be baptized in water to be saved. It is at w.b. that God adds us to Christ's Church. Acts 2:47. It is the line of the saved and unsaved. We must be in Christ in order to be saved and Gal 3:26-27 and Rom 6:3-4 tells us how to be in Christ. W.b. is for the forgiveness of sins Acts 2:38 and it's when we are transferred from the power of darkness to the kingdom of Christ Col 1:13. W.b. is a commandment of Christ for its purpose of our sins to be forgiven and made just before God by the blood of Christ Heb 5:7-9. W.b. is not a work of man but it's due to the mercy of God Titus 3:5. God bless

Our aim is to do what Smith Wiggleworth did. Perform miracles, cast demons, etc. We have the power and authority through Jesus to do anything if we have faith and believe.

The Word of.God is not trying to please one's intellectual nonsense with sweet sweelling words. Wisdom comes from God. And The Holy Spirit which had these men like Isaiah the Prophet to Moses to Mark or to John or to Apostle Paul. God gave them Wisdom to Understand and to Interpret those things that will be a Mystery to those that are not of God ?

The late Dr. Chuck Missler had a great take on this. I'd have to find the video again, but it was in his "Learn the Bible in 24 hours series." Fascinating series of vids if you get a chance to watch them!

A few days ago I was surfing around in YouTube looking for false teachers, false prophets, and other assorted presumptuous self-appointed go-gooder religionists (who are doing their own thing in the Lord's name) to harass and expose, and as I surfed around and seeing the thumbnail pictures of numerous YouTube religionists, the Lord imparted to me a flash understanding of how disgusting these people are to him (I could almost feel a queasy feeling in my gut), ranging from extreme disgust to more mild disgust. This was accompanied by the thought that the more popular they are the more disgusting they are to him. This was accompanied by this verse:ย

"And he said unto them (the Pharisees), Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God." (Luke 16:15 in the King James Version).ย

In other words, what he was telling the Pharisees was that they were thoroughly disgusting to him (and I can well imagine that they got the message).ย

So, as I was surfing around in YouTube I clicked on a video posted by a woman 'prophetess' who has a huge following of duped 'true believers,' and as I was looking at her I got to thinking what a shame it is that such an attractive woman would allow herself to be used as a mouthpiece by a religious spirit to control thousands of duped Christians, and as I was looking at her and sort of admiring her beauty, the Lord spoke to me in my spirit and said:ย

    "Babirusa."ย

I was looking right at her when he said it. So that got my curiosity going as to what a babirusa is. I had an idea that I knew what a babirusa is, but I wasn't sure, so I googled it and what I found was that a babirusa is a large wild pig that is indigenous to Indonesia and is without a doubt one of the ugliest animals on earth (or maybe even THE ugliest). You should google "Babirusa Pictures" and see for yourself.ย

What followed was the thought that although practically all humans would appraise her as being very charismatic and attractive, the way the Lord sees her is entirely different.ย

Then as I thought about all of this I was thinking about naming some names of people the Lord revealed to me who are utterly disgusting to him, but I felt a slight bad feeling about doing that, so I'm not going to name any names (even though a part of me would really like to). I figureย that it isn't necessary to name names anyway as those who have even the slightest smidgen of spiritualย discernment already know who these people are.

The main thing I concluded about all this was that the more popular they are the more disgusting they are to the Lord (i.e. abominable to him). This was followed by a remembrance of the story of Simon Magus in Acts chapter 8 who had an enormous following of people.

Different types of sins are lying, stealing, coveting, using Godโ€™s name in vain, dishonoring your parents, looking at someone with lust, having other idols/god(s) beside God, and more. You canโ€™t be a good person to get into Heaven because you have already sinned at least once and there is no work YOU specifically can do in order to be saved. Sin is so serious in Godโ€™s eyes because sin the cause of all pain, suffering, and death. Yet God STILL sent His Son Jesus to willing die on the cross for all OUR sins and rose from the dead three days later because God loves us soooo much. If you repent (to change your mind and recognize that God exists and that Jesus Christ is the Lord our God and Savior), turn to God, and trust in God that He will save you ONLY because of what JESUS DID for us on the cross and rose 3 days later (โ€œby grace you have been saved through faith, and know that of yourselves; it is a gift of God, not of works, less anyone should boast.โ€ -Ephesians 2:8-9)
,then God will save you from your just punishment of hell and give you the gift of eternal life with Him! After you have been saved, make sure to turn away from and forsake all your sins (but donโ€™t just say you wanna stop sinning, actually make a change. Otherwise your are playing the hypocrite. And you can only make a change with Godโ€™s help and strength, ask Him for it), live for God for your entire life, and always love God more than anyone or anything! God DOES NOT hate you, GOD LOVES YOU and wants to SAVE YOU!!! And donโ€™t wait either because you can die tomorrow, tonight in your sleep, or even in the next hour! And once you have died and you havenโ€™t repented and turned to God, itโ€™ll be too late. God loves you more than you can even understand and He is always waiting for you to come to Him!!!

Not sure why so many supposed Christians completely ignore the part of the Bible that says God will PRESERVE HIS WORD!

Therefore, God's PRESERVED word has to exist in 2021, and common sense tells us the it would all be preserved in ONE PLACE.

If you have to search thousand year old texts or 20 different "Bibles " to read God's word then He didn't preserve it as promised.

IMO the KJ Bible and it alone is where God preserved His word!

Dear Frank, Iโ€™d recommend you to check Ivan Paninโ€™s work, he was an 8th century mathematical scholar expert in Hebrew and Greek who discovered a numeric mathematical pattern across the entire Bible, and he noticed that it includes the verses that you mentioned in this video โ€ฆ so thatโ€™s another way to prove its legitimacy

Hey Frank!! Next time someone brings up moral conscience, PLEASE also use "Our GUILTY Conscience" argument to atheists to prove God's existence. It's on thing to talk about right and wrong, but it's another to show a spiritual conscience of right and wrong. Thanks ๐Ÿ‘

It seems to me that those who embrace mysticism are the ones vehemently defending the authenticity of the ending of Mark.
