When Sheila Jackson Lee says AR15 rifles are “heavy as 10 boxes you might move” whatever that really means, and that they are chambered in .50 cal. She proved she doesn’t have a clue..

Q: What would a nationwide Federal gun confiscation look like?
A: A run on bodybags for Federal Jack Booted Thugs, for one thing.

    https://libertarianchristians.com/2018/03/14/government-bans/

In Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution, there are eighteen paragraphs that enumerate the limited powers the Constitution grants to Congress. Very limited powers. Four of them concern money or taxes. One concerns commerce. One concerns naturalization and bankruptcies. One concerns post offices and post roads. One concerns copyrights and patents. One concerns federal courts. One concerns maritime crimes. Six concern the military and the militia. One concerns the governance of the District of Columbia. And the last one gives Congress the power “to make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers.” Since the Twenty-First Amendment Repealed the Eighteenth, nothing in any of the Constitution’s amendments gives the federal government any additional power to ban something. Second, anything not so enumerated in Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution is reserved to the states. Period. It can’t be any other way, since the states were in existence before the Constitution, the states sent delegates to the Constitutional Convention who created the Constitution, and the states ratified the Constitution. And just to make sure there is no doubt about what is delegated and what is reserved, the Tenth Amendment states: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.” James Madison succinctly explained this simple federal system of government in Federalist No. 45: The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the Federal Government, are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State. So, what does all of this mean for Americans in the twenty-first century? It means the same thing it meant in the eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth century. The federal government has no authority whatsoever under the Constitution to ban the possession of not just any drug—including cocaine, heroin, and meth—but also moonshine, any kind of gun, any type of ammunition, elephant ivory, exotic animals, Cuban cigars, unlicensed dentures, home-brewed beer and wine, and bald eagles. Just like the federal government has no authority whatsoever under the Constitution to mandate that pharmacies keep Sudafed and other allergy medicines behind the counter. Just like the federal government has no authority whatsoever under the Constitution to declare a portion of your property a wetland and fine and imprison you for filling it in with dirt. Just like the federal government has no authority whatsoever under the Constitution to limit the number of withdrawals that Americans can make from their savings accounts each month. One can search the Constitution all morning, all afternoon, all evening, all day, and all night with an electron microscope, x-ray vision, and MRI machine, the latest NSA spyware, and night-vision goggles and never find the hint of a reference to the federal government having the authority to prohibit Americans from possessing some object.

Do they realize Beto actually stood on Kent State soil stating government needs all firearms? Really has he lost his mind..then Warren is nuts! Americans 2nd Amendment rights are a God given RIGHT…Do they know the gun used in hunting does more damage than an AR 15? Come to Ohio cause majority would show how they feel on 2nd Amendment? Beto is a fraud he is a criminal who was in prison for what? Ooo for breaking and entering…who is saying Americans should have guns taken away..The mass shooters did what they did because of being Democratic themselves…Supporting what the dems are spewing…Try telling Appalachians you are taking their guns! They are all liars & want to be rulers of the free world!!!

Ok so im from el Paso, TX where we just had the mass shooting at Walmart….a man posted a video on fb that circulated all throughout the city while he was in the Walmart during the shooting. First thing out his mouth "damn i left my gun in my car, i wish i had my gun, i need my gun" …. had he had it, lives could have been saved. Taking guns away will cause more damage immediately.

I'm a liberal, registered Democrat and I fully oppose gun control. I agree with everything you say about the second amendment. As a logical person I want the highest odds of me defending my life and the life of those I care about. If that means an AR-15 then hell yea. This is America where I have the right to defend myself. And for all the people that say "you can do it with a handgun" try shooting your Glock 17 in the dark with 3-5 guys coming at you and your family. I'll be perched up with my AR. That is all.

@John Balnis Hello there. Guns are a hard topic to talk about, just like politics. There are a lot of sides. I'm a conservative who does support guns. Before you curse me to the depths of hell, I would like you to know I am very accepting and open-minded of other peoples opinions. I hope you do the same while replying to this comment; If you choose too.

Here is my point of view, and I will follow with a question.

It is naive to say mass shootings are "the direct result" of money in politics. There are many many many ways the government makes money, and the main income is Taxes. However, there is no "direct" result of income.

Mass shootings are a result of people wanting a feeling of importance, and that is how they get it. By killing people with a gun. Handgun or AR-15 (No Assult rifles[fully automatic] These are already illegal). I get my feeling of importance by flipping a spatula and fork while working the hibachi grill. Very different. In some other countries in our world, guns are full-blown illegal. However, you still see bombings, car-rammings on pedestrian sidewalks, and a few other infinite ways of ending innocent lives.

If this is the way a human wants to feel important, and strict gun policies, or even full gun ban is in effect, Do you not think that they will find another way of ending lives? Singular or in mass populations?

I hope to find common ground with you and am once again open-minded about anyone else's thoughts as well.

Please explain that. I guarantee you've never heard so many fucking "umms" and "errs" in your life. Miserable, pathetic, disgusting excuses for human beings. Sub-human fucking Neanderthals.

Biden, Warren, Beto, Booker etc are definitely not fringe which is what most people make the mistake of thinking that, they are the standard for the left and the desire to confiscate all privately owned firearms.

People do not know their history. France had a gun registry during WWII and when the Germans invaded they used that registry, with the help of the French Police to confiscate any weapon by any means necessary, and how did they know who had weapons, gun registry with does NOTHING to stop crimes. When a gun is stolen the registry will only have the name of the last LEGAL and LAW ABIDING citizen that owned the weapon. The ultimately goal of totem pole warren and the rest of her nasty ilk, is to know who has what so they can confiscate them and disarm Americans.

There are only two reasons for a gov't to require you to register something: they plan to tax it or they plan to confiscate it. There is no third thing.
A "gun registry" has no relation to public safety.

I find it very entertaining in how much grown men in the United States refuse to give up their toys. Guns are not a valid form of self protection. If you're all afraid of being shot, let's make SAPI plates mandatory for citizens.
