I do professional pro life apologetics. Teens are not nearly as 'polarized' as we think, if by polarized you mean "not open to changing their minds". They may be more outspoken and aggressive, but they are still more pliable than their jaded parents.

I would not, however, give ultrasound tech as much credit as uninformed Christians seem to give it. It only does good if people bother to look at it (many refuse) and even then only if the child is a certain number of weeks old. A day old human zygote really does look like a clump of cells, even if we know that they are fully human.

My piece of advice: DON'T use the Bible. Prochoicers relate pro-life movement with religious zealots, and we have to avoid that image. There are indeed great groups like Secular Prolife formed by people of all creeds and no creeds. Just focus on how the baby is a human, and human life is valuable. More valuable than our commodities, even if it's harsh to hear. Natural law is still srong enough to make then know killing innocents to solve a problem is wrong. Then, if they're misguided enough to ask why you care for them, then speak about the image of God and how every life matters.

I think the 16-year old was talking more about how to speak to his similar aged friends without them instantly shutting him off. Unfortunately that's not always easy to do in our day and age. Try to be gentle, respectful, be very clear by clarifying what you're saying and what you're not saying, and emphasise the Bible's teaching that people are equal in value ("made in the image of God" etc) and that you are a sinner who relies on the mercy and grace of God, not your own goodness. The reason why I say that last point is because the nature of pro-life vs pro-choice discussion is that they are both nice-sounding terms that describe a really serious and emotional issue. You have to try to understand the implication of the pro-life position – the depravity of Western society, widespread guilt, people secretly or openly killing their own offspring. Some of your friends, and many of their parents will have committed this evil act. That's serious. You have to accept that many people will respond negatively to your pro-life ideas because of these unavoidable implications on themselves. There are huge implications on ourselves for the pro-choice position as well, but that's not key to my point.
My point is you need to emphasise the equality of man and grace. Try to help your friends to see that you do not view yourself as better. Separate what people do from their value – the bible does this, but it contradicts the common thought of the day (your friends will be assuming that their value is based on what they do and achieve).

Seriously?  Stick with science is your advice?  Your bible clearly claims that magic exists.  How does science demonstrate magic exists and that your god is why it exists?  Furthermore the bible supports abortion in Numbers 5, Hosea 9:11-16, and Hosea 13:16.  You want to teach high school teens what's right?  Tell them that the truth isn't asserted it's demonstrated.  Specifically what method did anyone use to demonstrate any god exists for these religious rules to matter.

Embryology is absolutely irrelevant to the abortion discussion. Yes it is alive, Yes, It's human, Yes, it has the potential to become a person. That all is irrelevant. The question is, when does it get it's right to life. And that has been determined to be at week 24 of the pregnancy. Should it be sooner, yes, I believe so. Prior to week 21 how ever it doesn't have much use, as the fetus has 0% chance of survival outside the mother prior to week 21. Prior to week 21 it fully depends on the mother, and since it utilizes the mothers body (in some cases without her consent) the mother determines wether or not the fetus get a right to life.

In no way there are "deminished rights". That is absolute nonsense. Everyone has the freedom of speech. Your right to convey your message is not deminished, however, as in every situation the way you bring your message is bound by rules of conduct.

Yep, the clumps of cells argument doesn’t get used anymore because it would be fallacious & absurd. This generation can’t be fooled to think anything else other then it’s a human being from conception. “Oh but we should still be able to have the right to kill it”. How inconsistent. There is no real argument, just people doing what people want to do!

If your position is focused on the well-being of people and society, and is justified by rational arguments, then your ideas will have broad appeal regardless of religion and culture.

Yes, you can probably emotionally manipulate some people by waving around pictures, but I would hope you are above those types of tactics.

I am not sure if the kid was asking him what would be the best way to spaek about pro life like without offending someone or been humble in doing so as opposed to what platform to share it.

Excellent tip on who to share the pro life message! Life is certainly so precious! We are formed in our mothers's womb, and God knew us even before the foundation of the Earth! God bless you brothers and sisters!
