Deuteronomy 18:9-13 is one of the passages that talks about divination, charmers, and such. (It’s also discussed in the New Testament)

I was saved out of this kind of new age spirituality and had visions of my own… and I am incredibly grateful to God that he spoke so clearly about the destructive nature of these practices that might seem good to us and may feel good in our hearts… but “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” (Proverbs 16:25 ESV)

I’m so glad we have his word, to help us test what is ACTUALLY good according to the standard that He set, instead of each of us following our own light with no outside point of reference.

All praise and glory to God, the creator of all things and the one who defines what is actually good. 🙌

All of my old spiritual practices promised freedom but never led me into it. I only found that through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in humbling myself in submission to His word, instead of putting myself in a position of authority over it.

I have no intention or desire to but just curious on a technical level, if we are in spiritual warfare and in war we use the tech of the enemy against the enemy, could we take advantage of the demonic tech and then double cross them?

I went through a similar thing 27 years ago. The steps we were given from a local churc were: 1)Occult objects in all their forms have to be removed from the home 2)confessions of sins to the Lord Almighty 3)plead the Blood of Jesus Christ over the entire home, objects and those that live there. Greg is right, we have the authority to command these demonic spirits to leave in the name of Jesus. Stand ground when the demons push back and continue to pray the Blood of Christ over everything in the home. When you do something to remove these demons legal right to be in the home except there to be acting up. Stand firm in the Lord and He will free anyone experience issues like this one.
