    AWESOME discussion!
Audio Wade's position on authority, speaking of different spheres of sovereignty, is more along the lines of how Catholic Church sees authority.(CSCD #424-427) Government has it's realm, the Church has its realm; it is when the state infringes on the rights and authority of the Church, or someone else's authority for that matter, is when we start having issues. The only real place the Church claims any sort of sovereign authority is in the realm of doctrine and morals (which is, by the way, is also the limit of the pope infallibility, but I digress) so if a State passes a law contrary to that, or simply contrary to human morality, it is then that we are called/encouraged to speak out and/or disobey(CSDC #393-401). Hope that made sense

my church used to meet at a school and they won’t let us open church again, even though we could adhere to Covid guidelines. we haven’t had official services since March. We’re trying to find a new building because we don’t have anywhere to meet

Hello, Christians are not under the law and are therefore not saved by the works of the law. This is because of the grace that Apostle Paul first received on the road to Damascus.

For the law made nothing perfect, – Heb. 7:19 KJV

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. – 1 Cor. 15:56 KJV

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. – Rom. 3:20 KJV

For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. – Rom. 5:13 KJV

Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. – Rom. 4:15 KJV

This does not mean we disobey mans law and sin willfully, or Gods moral law, it means that we are saved through grace because we couldn’t save ourselves through the law.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. – Rom. 6:14 KJV

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. – Rom. 10:4 KJV

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: – Rom. 3:22a KJV

You know what happens when you Obey God and not the law?
I am from India, 90% of the corona cases that happened in the north easter sates(v badly affected now) can be traced back to an islamist religious gathering.

The problem with an argument where gods laws stand over the law of the land is EXACTLY WHAT LEADS TO EXTREMISM. There are various examples. But i ll tell you something that will make sense to you more

Should Islamist SHARIA LAW supercede the Law of USA? See the problem there? SHARIA LAW is the Law of the Muslim God. So? Exactly.

Lets keep all ideologies aside. SJW shit or Religioud BS.

Whenever Steven says "do u obey the law or do u obey God?"

    Let me rephrase this:
Should an ideology be a reason for breaking the law?

I guess we know the answer very well.

    Also worth to mention:

27 When they had brought them, they set them before the council. The high priest questioned them,
28 saying, "Didn't we strictly charge you not to teach in this name? Behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man's blood on us."
29 But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:27-29)

    Romans 12:18
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

Do your best to follow the law and be peaceful, but there's a point where that stops.

My church divided 2 hour sermons throughout the day and have small groups at a time. You must wear masks, they have sanitizer for your hands and shoes, each person is seated separately by a designated person and the church is sprayed down with disinfectant before and after every sermon. There are ways to be safe while still following your religion

So, the question here is: should christians follow the law like every other group of people?
Answer is: Of course not! Duhhh, christians can do what ever they want, they have Jesus on their side.
But we shouldn't let them occupy our hospitals.

Pro-life is pro-life. Period. We should be all to happy to sacrifice for our fellow sisters' and brothers' health and well-being. This disregard for safety regulations and self-involved, weak sensibilities is what happens when you put the donkey and elephant before the Lamb. And that's the tea.

The "added law", the various writings, judgements, etc ADDED to God's law is what Christ took issue with.

These various do's and don'ts added by men many times went contrary to God's law.

It was NOT WORK to grab wheat, rub the chaff away with your hands, and eat it, as it is in the law that the fields should have the edges uncleared for the poor and travelers.

I'm not religious but for those who are, do you think God cares if you worship him in church or not? If he gets upset by it, then he's a dick you maybe you should spend your time worshipping someone who isn't a narcissistic prick

I'm actually kinda for this? Because I'm an individualist, and your relationship to God is a personal one, meaning that you can worship Him and live your life by Him without having to go to an organization. It's something you can do in your own personal life, so it's not like not going to church means not worshiping God, and like you have to miss out. I mean, aren't large gatherings spreading this disease? So we can stop them without it actually stopping you living your life by God. My relationship with God is my own.

I’m a Christian, part of a fairly big group in our congregation. We simply have our meetings through zoom, the program is the same and it happens fairly smoothly. I’m also not part of mainstream Christianity, like catholics or Protestant…, so our practices are different from most of those. We simply had to adapt our agenda to the new circumstances
