It is a great time to be a Christian Believer. With the abundance of good Apologetics and so much access to information it is awesome.

This is the gospel! God wants you to repent (to turn away from and stop doing) of your sins (lying, stealing, cussing, looking at women with lust, using God’s name in vain, and so on) and put your trust in Him! β€œTherefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” -2 Corinthians 5:17-21! God loves you soooo much!

People would argue, "Just because the bible used things from history doesnt mean its real." saying, "Spiderman is in NY, NY is a real place, but spiderman isnt real." What facts can you point out to show further that Jesus and the history in the Bible is verified?

Richard Dawkins has said twice on camera as far as I've seen so far (in debate with John Lennox)(in an interview with Joe Rogan ) that Jesus was a real man living in Israel at the era depicted in the bible. In his estimation he was a man, in other people's estimation including Sir Isaac Newton He is the son of God. Dawkin's may have said it a half dozen times? or more. Jesus existed. many atheists will not deny that. Only in the last few centuries has fringe loons accepted FAKE NEWS.
History is full of the man Post 32AD – We do not have 24 hour news in the ancient world. if you get one mention you probably existed. if you get ten, you existed and if you get over 35 then you definitely existed –
A claim that someone has never existed relies on a long time passing. If you made a claim that someone’s grandfather had never existed, it would be easy to disprove. Records will probably exist. But if you said his grandfather’s grandfather never existed, it gets more difficult to prove. Even though we know he must have existed.
Jesus died nearly 2000 years ago, what evidence still exists of that.

Cornelius Tacitus (55-120 AD) Roman Historian.
β€œChristus the founder of the Christian name was put to death by Pontius Pilate, procurator of Judea in the reign of Tiberius. But the pernicious superstition repressed for a time broke out again, not only through Judea where the mischief originated but with the city of Rome also. β€œ Tacitus was in the habit of issuing a disclaimer if he thought anything he was writing came from a dubious source – or was hearsay. None was given with this statement.
Tacitus clearly did not like Christianity.

Lucian of Samosata – 2nd century Greek satirist.
β€œ the Christians, you know, worship a man to this day – the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account.. it was impressed on them by their original lawgiver that they are all brothers from the moment they are converted and deny the gods of Greece, and worship the crucified sage, and live after his laws… β€œ (Death of Peregrinus 11-13)

Flavius Josephus – 37 AD – 100 AD, (josephus is quoted on other historical battles and events)
β€œNow there was about at this time, Jesus, a wise man, for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of such men that received the truth with pleasure, he drew over to him both many of the Jews and many of the gentiles and when Pilate at the suggestion of the principal men among us had condemned him to the cross. Those that loved him at first did not forsake him. And the tribes of Christians so named from him are not extinct to this day.

β€œ So Ananus assembled a council of judges, and brought before it the brother of Jesus, the so called Christ, whose name was James, together with some others, and having accused them as lawbreakers, he delivered them over to be stoned” (antiquities XX 9)

    Pliny the Younger
Admits to torturing and persecuting Christians that refused to deny Christ. Those that denied the charges were spared and told to go and worship the roman gods, and curse the name of Christ.
Pliny addresses his concerns to emperor Tragian That too many Christians were being killed for their refusal to deny their faith. He says β€œ I asked them directly if they were Christians. Those who persisted I ordered away, those who denied that they were or ever had been Christians worshipped both your image and the image of the gods and cursed Christ. They used to gather on a stated day before the dawn and sing to Christ as if he were a god. All the more I believed it necessary to find out what was the truth from two servant maids, which were called deaconesses, by means of torture. Nothing more did I find than a disgusting fanatical superstition, therefore I stopped the examination and hastened to consult you, on account of the number of people endangered, for many of all ages, all classes, and both sexes are already brought into danger.”

Celsus – 2nd century roman author and opponent of Christianity.
Celsus on the true doctrine, a discourse against the Christians.
On Jesus’ Miracles – β€œJesus, on account of his poverty, was hired out to go to Egypt. While there he acquired certain (magical) powers… He returned home highly elated at possessing these powers, and on the strength of them gave him self-out to be a god. It was by means of sorcery that he was able to accomplish the wonders, which he performed, let us, believe these cures. Or the resurrection, or the feeding of the multitude with a few loaves… these are nothing more than the tricks of jugglers.
It is by the names of certain demons, and by the use of incantations, that the Christians appear to be possessed of miraculous power…”

Gaius Suetonius Trannquillus ( 69-130 AD) Historian of caesars, court official under Hadrian. Analyst for the imperial house.
Records – Expulsion of the Christian Jews from Rome.
β€œAs the Jews were making constant disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus, Claudius expelled them from Rome” (life of Claudius 25.4)

Thallus (Birth unknown to 52AD.) Julius Africanus debates Thallus’ record of the event. (date of Olympiad 32AD) (same year as Christ's crucifixion)
The mid day darkness – an eclipse cannot happen during a full moon?
β€œ On the whole world there pressed a most fearful darkness, the rocks were rent by an earthquake and many places in Judea and the other districts were thrown down. The darkness, Thallus in the third book of his history calls, as appears to me without reason an eclipse of the sun. For the Hebrews celebrate the Passover on the fourteenth day according to the moon, and the passion of our saviour falls on the day before the Passover, but an eclipse of the sun takes place only when the moon comes under the sun and it cannot happen at any other time phlegon records that in the time of Tiberius Caesar, at the full moon, there was an eclipse of the sun from the sixth hour to the ninth – manifestly that one of which we speak.

1961 – archaeologists discovered a plaque-stone at Caesarea Maritima, amphitheatre. Inscription by Pontius Pilate (Israel museum) .

1990 – Caiaphas ossuary found, while excavating land for a water park, a mechanical digger started to sink into the ground. Subsidence. A hole appeared and archaeologists were called in, as twelve stone coffin boxes (ossuary) were found. One inscribed Joseph Caiaphas. The high priest that condemned Jesus. (Israel museum has it listed)

    other non biblical sources –
    Aristides the Athenian,
    Justin Martyr,
    Ignatius of Antioch,
    Clement of Rome.

24,000 fragments of the new testament, dating to the first two centuries, in museums and private collections. Valued in the millions. There is a third century bible in the British Library. We have a verbal bible that was later written down pre 66 AD.
Copies of that have been collected. The bible does not mention the execution of James or the destruction of Israel in 66-70AD. The name SALOME is not in the bible. But the story is told by Josephus.

The bible mentions a tribe called the Hittites, in the 18th century skeptics-scoffers said there was no such tribe to be found in history. Then in the 19th century evidence was found in Assyrian ruins. The Hittites are now well known today .
The pool of Bethesda has also been rediscovered in the 20th century, mentioned in the gospel of John.
No original writings of Socrates exists. Only statements from his students exist. Therefore a case exists that Socrates never existed.

"within 150 years" Really? That's quite a bit of time lol. Sorry, were any of these people who claimed to have witnessed anything? Or did they hear it from people? I know Josephus was literally born after Christ's death. Because all this really tells us is that the story was spread around while keeping the main narrative intact.

I haven't looked into this subject very deeply. Histoical evidence shows a historical Jesus likely existed. However, I doubt very much so that much of the New Testament actually too place.

If you're looking at this from the outside, many or most of the prophetic Gopsel references (Matthew) are inaccurate or false. They are taken out of context, or misrepresented, or not prophetic at all. It looks as though someone grabbed random verses from Judaism and tried to make a new religion centered around Jesus.

Now, I will say that the Biblical Jesus seemed like a great person with wise statements. From his Jesus' teachings alone, I think Buddhism heavily influenced Jesus, and he tried to influence people using it in a way that was meant to keep the peace with his Jewish upbringing.

Daniel tells us the very day Christ the messiah will walk into Jerusalem? that's a good trick. i'll tell you what will happen in march 14th 2,521AD? i can guess and be wrong a hundred times?
Daniel is FIXED. in TIME cannot go past 280 BC. as his words are translated to Greek by Ptolemy the second,
Historians hate Daniel – they figure he must be around the third century? because he describes Alexander the great and his four generals? even if you believe that revision by historians Daniel still sees Jesus, still writes down all essential history – now Daniel gives us the 2,520 years figure. and Israel arrives in 1948 – the middle of the week is 1260 days. or years. so we subtract 1260 from 1948 and get 688AD. the year the dome of the rock is built. it's inscribed on the building. The Arabs invaded – chased away Christians, told the Jews not to pray to god? abused the Jews and would kill a few – does not sound politically correct to me? they stop the daily sacrifice? prayers to God and prayers to Allah begin. they took over MECCA for the Jews. they took over the temple mount on a false premise. cock blockers. 688 AD is the midpoint. 1260 years back to Daniel and 1260 forward to Israel – a total of 2,520 years. Both Ezekiel and Daniel are describing it. Ezekiel tells us the end times begins with the Jews coming from all nations back to the land after 2,520 years. 1948 is that pivot point. 1260-1290-1335.
we now have until 2023AD if the 1335 figure is right.
the mosque was built between 685-688AD. a three year figure? and the second world war ended in 1945 and israel was installed in 1948 – a three year figure? so from 2020 to 2023 we are in the mess.
i got covid in March 2020 – i still have symptoms. The world is in flux and in confusion. and the 1335 day is a blessing?
we see the world leaders today do a strut and the light show of the cuboid was tremendous – clap clap clap – how bloody wonderful you can afford it.
give more more to Elon Musk? that poor man needs it. send another rocket to rendezvous in space? while i look at people traveling to food banks and hang out at the supermarket discount line at 6pm – to buy food that is going stale.
Jesus is to rescue us – Isaiah 26:20 and 1 Thess 14.
the rapture can happen anytime now. but probably is 2o23.
    a blessed day.
maybe the Jews take back what is their land, in their holy city. Mecca and median is Muslim territory. unless you want God to destroy it. third holiest site? is that a top ten? the Jews don't have a top ten – their holiest site is the temple mount.
688 AD is the declaration of occupation and it's a milestone year. forward and back – the middle of the week.
Rise up you kings – rise up holy priests of God the Trump of God is sounding – take your place by God's throne. wait for John to arrive and see Jesus open the scroll. see the world be torn asunder. see the dead walk the earth.
see the misery that will fall on sinners who do not repent. see the earth purged and restored. see christ sitting on his throne on earth and see him rule in Israel. our future is locked in. There will be no re-writing Jesus out of history. there will be no history. No art. no physics. nothing will survive the fervent heat.
Jesus will rule the children and They will live a long life. and decide again if they want God. stupendous stupidity of mankind to repeat and repeat the mistakes .
every time i make toast i burn my fingers? when does it end?

Actually, NONE of the sources show that the NT stories actually happened. Not. A. Single. One. Although, if you want to play that game: the fact that The Illiad was used to find Troy then clearly shows that the Greek gods exist, RIGHT? RIGHT? Can't special plead!

Silly theists: you can't even coherently define "god".

Tactics, Josephus, Pilly etc all wrote about Jesus, however none lived at the same time as Jesus and none new Jesus personally, all historian's/ philosopher's etc that lived at the same time as Jesus didn't write a single word about him NOT ONE WORD, Tactics was probably the most reliable ,verifiable evidence, however no where does Tactics say Jesus was the son of God. Resurrection was just a copy, Tammuz, Odin, Osiris, Attis etc were all claimed resurrected gods.

Reading the Bible, studying its language, the archaeology of it, the science that challenges its claims, the analysis of its texts, the history of its writing, editing and exclusions and inclusions ALL show that it is a wholly man made creation, filled with the ignorance, prejudice and immorality of the peoples who wrote it.
