Thank you SO much for this overview/explanation. Previously I just got so bogged down with all the names & trying to work out what was going on.
Thank you for all the Bible Project videos I have been able to see.

Thanks for your work. It’s really good. I was wondering if you could elaborate on why God starts speaking through Egyptian and Persian people in the end, in stead of through his chosen people?

I just started reading chronicles, I’ll admit I kind of skimmed over the first couple of chapters but now I think I’ll go back and reread it.

Interesting perspective on the way Chronicles ends. But it is also interesting to note that the last two verses of Chronicles are also the first 2+ verses of Ezra. Ezra 1:3 completes the sentence of 1 Chron. 36:23.

The NIV version states that 2 Chronicles 36:23 the verse ends with "… Any of his people among you may go up, and may the LORD their God be with them." It doesn't seem to end off with an incomplete sentence. As you guys had stated at 5:38

    Audience: end of OT Jewish
Problem: people are not clear what to expect now with God.
KM: a new king and a new temple is going to come.

In the KJV it states the last words are "and may the Lord their God be with them.’”
