Watch our overview video on Exodus 19-40, which breaks down the literary design of the book and its flow of thought. In Exodus, God invites the Israelites into a covenant and comes to live among them in the Tabernacle, but Israel rebels and ruins the relationship.

It has been said that the golden calf was not a replacement for God but a replacement for Moses.

They pretend like God is one you can bargain with. This is not God. God does not speak. Only his manifestations do. So it’s more likely that if a conversation happened it would be with a figure like Jesus, or one of many ascended masters or angels. Either that or the conversation with God is better understood as an internal dialect of a prophet himself. God does not seek to destroy and he does not punish. People punish themselves not understanding who and what they are. And not knowing the power they hold. This is why sin leads to death. You reap what you sow. It’s not punishment, it’s physics. Push a glass off a table and it will likely break. You weren’t punished for the act but the cause has a specific effect. I know holy men who can perform many miracles. True prophets who can see the future with astounding accuracy. Levitation, teleportation, manifestation of physical objects right before your eyes. We can speculate from ancient writings or we can seek experience over intellect and discover the truth for ourselves. All who walk the path come to the same conclusion. The truth is absolute.

I am always led to wonder if hardening Pharoahs heart was some sort of retribution by God, for causing strife for Israel? Vengeance is the Lords…I suppose. So Pharoah really never had a "chance" to be lienient towards Israel. Very…interesting.

The narrator has a soothing voice & is so effective in glossing over god's commandments regarding slavery.

I love the work you guys do! Can you do a map series? There are so many land descriptions throughout the Bible it would really help visualize their various travels especially in relation to modern day named lands.
Like Abram’s journey from Ur. Or the Joshua 13 division of the land. And Especially Jesus’ movements as a baby and his ministry travels.

I am confused about the part when the author mentioned Moses was unable to enter the tabernacle. Was the author implying that Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle due to the Israelites' sin? Because Exodus 40:35 already explains why Moses was unable to enter:

Exodus 40:35 (NKJV) "And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of the meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle"
