Whenever you hear the term "social justice" nowadays, always think to yourself "regardless of how people behave."
In its early Catholic formulation in the mid-1800s, "social justice" was a concept most Christians could get behind: the poor deserve compassion and comforting. But that definition got warped w/ Marx (envy and resent the rich) and Rawls and turned political. Rawls offers a thought experiment: you're going to be in a society, but you don't get to know how high (rich) or low (poor) you are (the Veil of Ignorance). Obviously, you want the poor given opportunities and aid (wealth redistr) because you might be poor. But here's the fatal flaw in Rawls and soc jus: neither considers how people got where they are. Soc just, as you mentioned, believes people should have equal access to opportunities, resources, and privileges (here, I'll just call them 'good stuff'). But should they? Would we expect a drunkard, lazy person, or career criminal to have the same access to good stuff as a moral, hard-working person? And this is where mainstream Christians get off the soc jus train. Christians believe that people who follow Biblical teachings will fare better than those who don't/act immorally (sinners).

Thank you so much for very perceptive video! But the secular left keep imposing their anti-Christian values to Christians by legislation. It’s always them. That’s the problem.

Awesome insight to social justice. I took for granted that social justice only had a biblical point of view due to our constitution being founded on biblical principles by our Christian founding fathers. However given that the separation between church and state has gone to the extreme and is pushing Christianity out of government entirely mostly due to people of other cultures and other religious beliefs being offended. The American culture, Heritage and western ideology is dissipating. I don't know why Mr Wallace you don't have these YouTube videos coming out consistently like Dr. Turek does. Subsequently I pray for social justice in my personal situation in this lifetime 😢 please Jesus expose the reciprocity, the obstruction of justice and collusion done by attorney Frank Kilgore in Orlando Florida to exploit his affluence and influence to manipulate the Judicial system in his good friend's (Henry Luis Herrera) favor while destroying my life and my family's life. 🙏 AMEN

  5. Truth Matters

Social Justice is people or government trying to get rid of God in all public areas (even in private homes), and then forcing themselves as god into those emptied areas! It is completely evil, sugar coated as justice for all.

Thank God Jim. I hate politics and think it divides people and makes it much harder to lead people to the Cross

Social Justice is an act of pure evil. It is the magnification of a group or nations negative or harmful history and judging that portion against a perfect world. Completely ignoring any positive aspects or the context of that history. Ignoring also any negative aspects of all other groups at the time or downplaying any role they may or may not have had. They take this narrow judgement of history and determine a list of victims that this nation or group has harmed and assigning blame to the current nation or group who were not involved or not alive at the time period under examination. They then take action to punish the current people in that group in order to effect some cosmic Godlike justice. A damnation and condemnation and the attempted creation of a Hell on earth for those who resemble the people being damned. Paying for the assumed sins of the people that are in part the descendants of said nation or peoples. Punishment for the actions of others for wrongly assumed actions of history.

*Jim Wallace and Franky Boy — U 2 have not proven that your God is real and not a biblical fable — even the great Christian scientist Stephan Meyer emphatically states that the Christian God cannot be proven to be real or true thus the Christian God in science is at best a "inference" 😉 … in light of that truth this video and Christianity as a whole is an entire waste of time* Good day sir!

Social justice is a cry for reform based of societal problems, such as poverty, the drug war, homelessness and a lack of health care etc. Please don't be naive and think they can be solved through prayer, we need action

There is no such thing as social justice. There is only justice. Social justice is just people's complaints and cry for preferential treatment.

Real Social Justice, wont get it any other way
Matthew 13:38-40 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels."As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age." Matthew 13:49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just, and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
