Have you noticed that essentially every pro-abortion argument is based on misrepresenting the pro-life position and avoiding citing any actual facts? Can you think of any legitimate pro-abortion arguments that don’t rely on dishonesty or ignorance?

Abortion is just what they called euthanasia back in the 50s.

Ok, I'ma use cenk's logic. Humans aren't life because if you take the brain out it dies, if you take the blood out it dies, and if you take the heart out it dies.

is an old video, I know… I'm re watching it among others to think of a valid argument or formulate a stronger oppinon. I'm definitely more pro-life leaning, for sure against late term abortions (past about the 12-18 week mark) but I wonder what laws should be fixed in my already liberal as they come state of Oregon for women carrying already dead babies (no heart beat) so that they can get a csection or induced delivery to make the suffering of carrying a dead (wanted) baby shorter. Right now I know of a woman 32 weeks gestation who is being forced to wait until her already scheduled induction date to deliver her dead child. I think a D&E is overall more horrific and dosent offer the same closure as a still birth but choosing to carry a dead baby to term is arguably more horrific for much longer of a period. Apparently abortion laws are prohibiting her from a D&E or "abortion". This is the type of tragic, complex case needs to be covered by someone.

you should try to have more intellectual integrity than your pro "choice" opponents. laws against physically abusing your employees are not equivalent to laws governing abortion, and DNA is no more "life" than the skin cell you pretended to scrape off.

Pain perception isn't developed until the third trimester of the pregnancy, let alone consciousness. So I don't really see the problem with abortion within the first 12 weeks of the pregnancy

It's just a personal topic and choice. I am pro-choice – I believe it's a woman's right to choose what happens with her body – up to a point. I also personally don't believe abortion should happen after 10 or 12 weeks.

Do I think it happens because some girls are stupid and are having sex without any knowledge of what's happening, yes. Do I think that a 13 yr old should then be forced to carry and give birth to a child she is not capable of taking care of – emotionally or physically? Physically a young girls body is more likely of having damage caused to it by pregnancy because they're not fully developed. Emotionally? … Just the hormonal changes, I don't think a young girl is ready for.

I think a rape victim should always be given the choice of abortion because sometimes they don't report it or go get checked out. Sometimes they would rather forget it and then a pregnancy happens. I don't think, considering in many states it's legal for the rapist to sue for either custody or parental rights, for a woman to be forced to have that child.

There are dozens of examples I can give where a woman isn't in the right place or mindset to have a child. Condoms are 100% effective, neither is the pill or other birth control. And I don't think the argument for abstinence is really a reality. No guy has to worry about having sex and getting knocked up and dealing with it but a woman does.

There are people who say a woman should just have the child and then give it up – rather than take a life. Does anyone really know how many children are in the system? Just in the US. I don't think that all of them are abused or turn out bad, but I do think that some of them just were never given a chance because of where they started. That is also a problem with society and with government – but I'm not going into that.

But for the people saying a woman should just 'have the kid' … do you know what actually happens to the body during pregnancy? The hormones, for one, that go crazy. The problems that can occur – and some that do which cause the abortion topic to be approached. There are so many things that happen to a woman's body during pregnancy and birth, that it's not just carrying a basketball under the shirt and pulling it out after 9 months.

However, I also believe that a woman cannot have a child and force the father to become legally responsible if the father doesn't wish it. Also, I think a legal document should be put together where the man then gives up all parental rights and will never contact the mother or child. That, I think, is fair. Because if a woman has the child and the man doesn't want it, they are usually stuck and don't get a choice in the matter. I believe in choice.

Again this is a personal choice and I don't think it's anyone's right or business to decide against/for other than the person it's effecting. Please do not come after me or turn this into a huge cursing – it's just my opinion

I have always believed that the "women should be allowed to do what they want with their body" line is just a talking point that has no relevance to abortion and makes absolutely no sense in that context…however it somehow stuck and has been used for such a long time that people kinda got brain washed into it… abortion is not something you are doing to your body… it is something you are doing to your baby….it is something you are doing also to someone else's baby because that baby needed a partner to make it happen… and like others pointed out, if the decision to keep or abort the baby is solely (from legal point of view) up to the woman…then the man should absolutely be absolved of any obligation, should she choose to keep the baby for example and he wants nothing to do with it…. but we can't walk down the path of choice half way and stop….men should have a choice too…

I am pro-choice. You can CHOOSE to use contraception, you can CHOOSE abstinence, so you don't have to CHOOSE to end a life simply because your actions lead to an "inconvenience".

My wife and I believed our daughter was viable pretty much the second my wife took the pregnancy test and it came up positive, and we just celebrated our baby girl's first birthday last month. So, the thought that anyone at any time could have deemed her "not viable" and at any time they wanted would have/could have aborted her really pisses me off. Forget the technicality that she may not have been confirmed viable by a medical professional or that she wasn't yet big enough to register an audible heartbeat. From the second we found out our little girl was growing in the womb; the moment of conception is when we became parents. And, when you become a parent, your job is to protect your child and do everything within your power to provide from them and keep them safe. It's not up to us to judge the kind of life the baby would have or whether it would be too much of a strain on the parents(parent)—God made a plan for every one of us since before we were even conceived by our parents, and that is enough to make a baby(fetus) viable. Abortion isn't mercy on anyone–it is straight up murder, no matter how you f**ing slice it!! (to paraphrase Dustin Hoffman in Outbreak)

I think everyone can agree, incarceration of a mother after a miscarriage is strait up evil. Women often spend years trying to cope with something that difficult. #TYTFU
