The so-called β€œequality act” offers protection to 3% of the population, including those who fall into the LGBTQ community. What does that mean for you if your company has to downsize and you are part of the other 97%? Take a look!

Actually if you're disadvataged, disadvataging the others a right amount will balance it to overall equality. Though this doesn't seem to be a great solution since they're still being unequal in varying situations. Just accept them and don't give any additional advantages.

The logic is a little skewed here. Companies preffering to fire heterosexual people over lbgtq people, is not a problem resultating from the equality act itself, but the result of flawed system where companies can throw out people as they like for little to no reason. The equality act simply reassures that people of lbgtq can't be discriminated on the basis of their sexual orientation and so on. Now the next thing could be to grant protection for employees against being fired on illegitimate grounds, like here in Norway or other Scandinavian countries. Quit it with the childish logic of "I'm being mistreated so now everyone should be equally mistreated" and grow up

@Cochise Carter: β€œJosephus, Tacitus, Pliny the younger, and the Talmud.”

No eyewitness accounts, all hearsay many years after the event.

93–94 AD Jewish historian Flavius Josephus around 93–94 AD, contain two references to Jesus of Nazareth and one reference to John the Baptist

116 AD The Roman historian and senator Tacitus referred to Christ,

Born: 61 AD Gaius Plinius C S, better known as Pliny the Younger,

4th century The Talmud was compiled in the 4th century in Galilee. The Babylonian Talmud was compiled about the year 500, although it continued to be edited later.

Talmud, The complete passage is: "On (Sabbath eve and) the eve of Passover Jesus the Nazarene was HANGED and a herald went forth before him forty days heralding, 'Jesus the Nazarene is going forth to be STONED because he practiced sorcery and instigated and seduced Israel to idolatry.”

@Cochise Carter Cochise Carter: β€œThere are several accounts by historians outside of the bible.”

Let me first deal with the author and time of the New Testament.

In the next post, I will get to Josephus, Tacitus, Pliny the younger, and the Talmud.

    No eyewitness accounts, all hearsay.

Traditionally, 13 of the 27 books of the New Testament were attributed to Paul the Apostle, who famously converted to Christianity after meeting Jesus on the road to Damascus and wrote a series of letters that helped spread the faith throughout the Mediterranean world

Acts 9 tells the story as a third-person narrative: As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" … "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," He was converted to faith in Jesus Christ about 33 CE.

Written over the course of almost a century after Jesus' death, the four gospels of the New Testament, though they tell the same story, reflect very different ideas and concerns. A period of forty years separates the death of Jesus from the writing of the first gospel.

The Jane Doe will not be fired because of the laws against the discrimination of women, so maybe we should get rid of anti-gender discrimination acts. Also, black John Does are safe because of laws against the discrimination of black people, so maybe we should get rid of anti-race discrimination laws.
Scare-mongering when new laws are being proposed is a tired and tested method of scaring people into not wanting change. Who would now use this man's argument against anti-race and anti-gender discrimination laws? Answer: No one in their right mind. Are you in your right mind or are you scared?

Equality Act – those who are friends of the world systems, that openly follow the god of this fallen world, are more equal than the rest of us.

The Declaration Of Independence already states we are all equal. The Constitution (Bill of Rights) are not rights granted to us by the government, they are our God given rights that are unalienable! Any equality act is the result of today's corrupt government scamming the citizens for money, votes n power. While at the same time oppressing the people, they've falsely led into believing are oppressed, by giving them handouts which will eventually weaken them n make their community more dependent on the government.

Religious institutions are the propagations of all the inequalities we see today. What's the problem Turek? You're OK telling people what to think on one hand while whining about the exposure of persecution at the hands of the religious on the other. Pathetic you are.

Why can't we have actual equality? Why does the world have to care so much about things such as gender, sexuality, sex, or skin color? Can't we just treat people the way we treat them for the things that actually matter? Smh

Hey πŸ‘‹I have a question. I saw this jewish guy on YouTube say that Jesus can't be the messiah because if he was born of the Virgin marry and she didn't Descend from David how can he be a Descendant of David if technically Joseph is only his father legally. How would you respond?

Really? All this act does is amend the Civil Rights Act to include gender identity and sexual orientation alongside sex, race, religion in the Civil Rights Act. Stop overreacting. And if your religious beliefs mean that, you should discriminate then you're wrong.

There are also anti-discrimination policies for discrimination against race, sex, gender, religion, etc. So are we going to make this same argument for those? I mean, I certainly hope we don't, because it's wrong. Wrongful termination is different than 'downsizing'.
