Liberalism classically is a conservative philosophy. My compassion manifests in my beliefs. You can do, believe, and live how you like as long as you obey societies duties of forbearance. Otherwise do what you’d like however it the result isn’t something you wanted or don’t like then do not expect me to care or call me names because I, as I would hope most people would believe also, think you are accountable for your actions and choices in life. That’s it, conservative philosophy.

Is there such a thing as a moderate anymore? I am one. I am moderate right on financial issues, and moderate
left on some social issues. Polarization is due to lazy MSM journalism… everything is black and white to MSM.

Question for Dave Rubin. I like the idea of Locals. However, the problem I see with this is that genius of YouTube is that it allows me to sample whatever I want to sample without any barriers of cost. I wonder if it is possible for something like Locals could have a subscription model for the whole website. There are a lot of people that I love on YouTube and ideally I would love to give all of them $5 a month, but I only have so much money to give to everyone. However, if I could just pay $5 a month to sample everybody on a network like Locals, I think Locals could grow a lot more quickly.

I also like the term statist like Mark Levin uses for leftists. Dave is correct about what the term liberal historically actually meant. There is a great book by Ludwig von Mises called Liberalism and it is all about how freedom.

Interestingly, what this reminded me of most was two spiritualist mediums talking to each other, shoring up each other's empty claims/rhetoric (not dissimilar to John Edwards talking to another medium called Char Margolis – youtube it). Even though I profoundly disagree politically with, say, Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro, at least when they argue (separately) or with each other you know (to some degree) they come from a place of sincerity, and sufficient intelligence that they can argue their points with clarity and precision. Dave and Candace are grift personified. When Dave first emerged as a youtube presence after TYT, I even liked him initially. I appreciated he was trying to get away from the noise and encourage civil debate/discourse with people of all stripes and persuasions. For about 4 or 5 episodes, I found it refreshing, till it became apparent he had nothing to offer besides the repetition of one tired slogan and a few (badly absorbed and regurgitated) alt-right talking points. His main complaint was that the left has gone mad (especially shrill students with pink hair who liked to shout equally trite leftie slogans – go figure lots of students are more leftie and cleave to radicalism more than older people) and abandoned him (as it turned out TYT didn't offer enough money so he went for the Prager/Koch-brother bucks and had a convenient political conversion overnight) so he abandoned them. After three years of the same BS, and platforming some truly egregious people (offering not even cursory scrutiny or push-back to their most insane ideas), contrary to his own manifesto – he never interviews anyone to the left of Bret Winstein (who by the way is the only so-called leftie' he has on his show), despite literally thousands of people petitioning him to debate Sam Seder, Kyle Kulininski or numerous other perfectly civil individuals. it is abundantly clear Dave is grifter, and lazy to boot (without even the intellectual rigour to back up his arguments). He also talks shit – he claims to hate identity politics, yet is never afraid to brandish the gay card when it suits his argument. He's always just a moron and couldn't argue his way out of a paper bag. During a talk at the Oxford Union, in the same sentence he argues systemic racism doesn't exist, before conceding black people spend more time in prison as white people for the same crimes because of 'socio-economic factors'. Either he's too dumb to know the meaning of the term or too dumb to maintain the internal logic of his own argument for less than a paragraph. Not to mention his mauling at thands of Joe Rogan over building regulations (youtube it – I almost felt sorry for the moron). Candace Owens, seeing there was easy money to be made, in converting to the right, mirrored Dave's approach. Given her limited intellectual prowess and inability to stand out from the crowd as a leftie, joined Talking Points USA, and taking her cues from the Shapiro school of sledge-hammer chat (talking so quickly it disguises the fact she is saying absolutely nothing of substance). Both, almost overnight, went from holding default liberal positions (neither are lefties – at best they are lifestyle liberals, but I guarantee have never read Marx or Engels) to evangelising against abortion, in favour of the death penalty, free-market economics, low or preferably no taxes, to supporters of freedom of speech (but for the purposes of defending any racist or bigoted nonsense emanating from Trump's mouth or proffering dangerous opinions climate change), as opposed to anything worthwhile. Candace is arguably even dumber than Dave – she once said he couldn't possibly be stupid enough to label himself a classical liberal (not understanding classical liberalism is actually a right-wing philosophy, assuming cos it has liberal in the title it must be bad). She's another intellectual lazy grifter who has done the bare minimum of homework – watch Joe Rogan expose her total ignorance on climate change (a marvel to watch). On another occasion she even says that his globalist ambitions aside, Hitler wasn't all bad. She then had the gall to say her comments had been wrenched out of context (they hadn't) and pulls out the race card when confronted by a Senator (despite an apparent rejection of identity politics). So, to summarise, watching these two is as cringe-worthy and the political equivalent of watching two psychic mediums discussing their 'talents', knowing full well they are full of shit. Having offered a constructive critique of both now precludes any attacks from people that I am just dismissing them with one label. But do your best.

Collectivism is awful and doesn't work.. then he go's on to speak about the collectivism of the jews and how they all came together as a collective community to bounce back after hardship.. I think you cons might have some inconsistencies. Anyway have fun with atomization and slow move toward progressivism which you keep giving a pass to.

the thing that scars me so much is that Dave Rubin in this interview and i Quote said that " They will at the end turn on Bernie."
and now guess what is happening in the Democract elections the left are now voting for Joe Biden not Bernie Sanders
Joe Biden votes are eating up Berines votes. in the space of a year since this interview took place look at what is happening right now.

Rubin – "I hate identity politics". Says the man who constantly brandishes the fact he's "married to a dude" when it's expedient to promote his argument that the right are more tolerant. LOL. If it wasn't for social liberals having his back he would't be able to be married to the person he loves. And yet he'd rather platform stridently anti-gay loons like Ben Shapiro than anyone on the 'left' (by which he means someone to the left of Ghengis Kahn). What a dumb hack.

As a masochist I sometimes like to see what the right saying, but this is beyond parody. Dave Rubin is a professional air-head, Candace a useful shill (I hope she was pretending she didn't know what 'classical liberal' means). This love-fest was beyond nauseating. Closer, more intelligent observers will notice that even members of the IDW are abandoning Dave (knowing he's dumb one-trick pony), and he's having to reach out to even more extreme, evangelical wings to get oxygen. And it's very telling Jordan Peterson ended up in rehab after a year on the road with him. Dave just found God. Lol, what a moron. As for Candace, you go girl – a nasty, little shill for the right. Yuk. But props for doing it so brazenly.

My earliest exposure to Candace was watching her testify in front of Congress. I first heard her "stats" introduced by whatever the a** holes name was and was INCREDIBLY disrespectful of her. That was bad enough, but then the intentionally edited clip that Ted Lieu played was a MAJOR eye opener for me.

Since then, I gotten into Larry Elder, Brandon Tatum, Coleman Hughes, Tracy Scott, Zuby, Tommy Sotomayor and several others for additional perspectives.

The Jew and the black tell their predominantly White audience that identity politics is bad. Yet both go on to champion their own identity group. Really makes you think.

Wait… you guys bash identity politics and then you praise the Jews for banding together and bouncing back as a collective identity, and then you say “the black community can learn from this” which is also a collective identity. Doesn’t that defeat the whole “don’t fall for identity politics” thing by giving us examples of when identity politics actually work? And just out of curiosity, would you assume/call me a racist if I think the white community should unite to fight things like the opioid crisis or to fight the beatings (mostly metaphorical, sometimes literal) we get handed basically every day? We all seem to agree that unity leads to peace. But the more diverse a place, the less unity there is. So it really does seem that white people SHOULD start playing the identity politics game.
