There are men, they aren’t spotlighted in the media. Love how Jocko stated that. Living in Seattle I understand what Candace is saying but go 30 mins north, south or east of Seattle and you’ll find the homegrown ppl.

The so called elite has largely forgot that, we now have a whole bunch of genderless generation, while communist China just issued a government policy promoting masculinity among young kids.

I feel like a lot of the men that are born and raised in the Cities never learn how to physically take care of themself or others. You do not have to know how to do everything; however, you need to know the difference between a flat head and a Phillips head screwdriver. Also, change your tire, know how to jump off another automobile or your own, clean up your own area, clean your own closes. Know that a weapon is a tool, not a danger. That it is used to harvest animals during the season that they are to be a harvest. Not something to show off and use in other ways. I retired from the Marine Corps in 2020. I also went through the ranks like Jocko. I went from PVT to GySgt then to WO1-CWO3, then moved to the rank of Captain. He is correct about all of the things that make the job difficult. I led men in both Iraq and Afghanistan than in other places considered "War on Terror" or back to Iraq for ISIS. Every generation of Americans has stood up and fought our countries enemies. I joined before 9/11 first combat operation was in Kosovo called Operation Allied force. Even if we have a generation that the norm is to not know how to do things. The people of that generation will carry the load, defend the constitution and keep America strong. I hope this anyway.
