The American healthcare system is broken. The cost of premiums has skyrocketed, quality has decreased, and red tape has engulfed the industry. How do we fix this crisis? Katy Talento, former lead health advisor to President Donald Trump, joins Candace Owens this week to discuss how to solve the looming catastrophe.

when i retire Medicare was advising that if you have other insurance call supplementary insurance , every body think or thought that well if Medicare don't pay or pay 10% , the supplementary insurance will paid the rest or will paid what Medicare don't paid , wrong , i was paying 137 dollars for Medicare and the supplementary insurance was 117 dollars well , after 10 months with this supplementary insurance i realize that what Medicare did not paid , this supplementary insurance did not paid neither , i expend in 10 months 1, 170 dollars and this insurance paid only 42 dollars , is horrible how Medicare recommend to have this supplementary and how those insurances are around , we will help you to save money and you believe them because there are or they show up or give you a number were you will be registered and they will give you the best insurances, wrong , is like you give your email and phone numbers a thousand of insurances that will be calling you , emailing you , until they get into your packages, medicare is the open door for these people to rape you , imagine if i don't check the bills from medicare about how much medicare paid or don't paid , these is a scams with licenses , i did not see any insurance telling me ,this is gonna save you money or will help you to paid the rest of your bill , i know i m no the only one , but is the abuse , and when you talk to them i was telling about my wrong idea that if medicare don't paid , they will paid , but no one told me nothing , is amazing how medicine don't help me anymore to get healthy , they help you to go to bed thinking how i will be paid my next bill , damn

Just listened to this. Awesome conversation. The other problem I have seen it that most people don't compare the bill they get and the insurance Explanation of Benefits which outlines what they are required to pay – they just pay the bill. Hospitals and lab especially will sent bills for amounts they have contracted to write off. Thank you Candace for interviewing people who give great information.

Well if the president and every other party are against this, then why are the medical providers getting away with this. If the most important man in the country cannot stop this then he isn't the president the drug companies are.

Having had a bit of experience with ERs and Inpatient surgeries, I have two issues with the medical system. First, if you SCHEDULE a procedure that requires anesthetic, find out if the anesthesiologist is in your network. It took me three surgeries to figure out that when you set up the surgery and your hospital in network, they don’t tell you that your anesthesiologist is out of network. MAJOR expense. If you have a choice in hospitals, investigate the ER, BEFORE you have an emergency. Some ERs are staffed separately and are not hospital employees. They don’t take insurance and they can charge what they please. Not all hospitals do this, but it’s worth checking out BEFORE you visit an ER. Not always, but sometimes you do have time to get to the ER of choice.

The swamp goes so deep. I really hope the Supreme Court grants Trump 3 more years for being impeached by the House but cleared by the Senate By Law ! But I'm not real hopeful because I believe the supreme court is compromised by the people who put them into the position ( Think Bush and John Roberts) Bush is a globalist and Roberts is still doing his biding ! Not the Constitutional Thing !

Yeah I forgot about the insurance industry, they are also complicate in this. How many industries do you see that are still building huge buildings but them and banking. Follow the money people ! (Think Federal Reserve). The people who are suing should be exsposed so we know who is fighting against the American people.

God knows I wish this COULD BE BUT

I don't know anyone who doesn't see you as a snake. Maybe we will meet one day.
And I dunno who I'll married to but it won't be you.

Japan is pretty good on Healthcare. It's got a ton of private hospitals everywhere. Over the course of six years I burnt both my legs severely, broke a leg on another occasion, had dengue fever or something treated, etc. Never had insurance. Every time I'd just pay in cash and I think my total medical expenses for those six years was like 250$

It isn't a left/right issue until you consider how quickly the same people advocating the control of albuterol and epi-pens also support over the counter narcan.

The first LAW that need to pass its if you have a DEBT with X (person or entity) you own to that X person or entety, that DEBT cant be sold to a 3er party to collect. thats to me beyond stupid thats allow. i can sell your debt to the drug cartel and now you deal with them.

Here’s the problem Candace Owens— and I hope you read this. Healthcare is an involuntary necessity to live. Meaning one does not ask or merit for sickness, mostly it just happens.

Because of this, the free market may be able to lower prices, BUT there will ALWAYS be people that cannot afford it and potentially die because of that. Therefore, a public option would be a reasonable solution. A solution that allows private higher quality insurance for those that can afford it and have worked to build wealth, but also an option for those who are sick and need immediate care but have not enough money.

The United States is the richest country in the world and doesn’t provide an option for the poor. No one has a right to anything, entitlement benefits fluctuate with the economy. More money, more welfare; less money, less welfare. However, though it is not a right by any means, in a country worth over $20 trillion dollars, it is reasonable.

    Asthma Treatment

    Roby Mitchell | October 1, 2017
Occupational asthma can be caused by chemical or particulate inhalation. However, most asthma is due to the immune system response to Candida overgrowth in the lungs (Imagine diaper rash in the lungs. Don’t imagine a vaginal yeast infection in the lungs😜). One of the cytokines produced by the immune cells is “leukotriene”. This cytokine causes the upper breathing passageways (bronchial tubes) to constrict, making it difficult to breathe. Symptoms are compounded by the production of other cytokines listed in the table below.

As an ER doctor, I used standard MSU methods to treat attacks. This included steroids and theophylline. The steroids blunted the immune system response and theophylline opens the airways (So does caffeine). Newer drugs directly target leukotrienes and are combined with steroids and drugs that open airways. Still, 250,000 die from asthma each year. Blacks are 3 times more likely to die from asthma. Tragic numbers in the face of how easy asthma is to cure.

As with other so called “autoimmune” conditions, the key is addressing critter overgrowth rather than inhibiting or damaging Intelligent Design. This starts with following a BALi type Eating Plan. The low glycemic index of BALi removes the fuel for Candida overgrowth–sugar. Critter killers in BALi foods kill Candida.

Inadequate production of hydrochloric acid is a key factor in Candida overgrowth. Many children are born not producing enough. This can lead to multiple manifestations of Candida overgrowth from ear/nose/throat infections to cradle cap to colic to eczema to asthma. If hydrochloric acid production matures with age, the child will “grow out of” the condition. Until that happens, simply supplementing each meal with hydrochloric acid will help keep Candida under control.

Asthma is related to fungal overgrowth in the lungs. My experience is its always curable. Vitamone D3(its actually a hormone) plays a key role in keeping the germs in the body under control. For some reason, every one is low in vitamin D-even those getting plenty of sunshine. I didn't get mine checked for a long time because I cycle for 2 hours in the Texas Sun. I only did it to set an example. I was low. I have to take 10,000 IU/day to achieve therapeutic levels. Don't guess-get tested. Low levels of vitamin D3 are also associated with breast/prostate cancer. This may have contributed to my development of prostate cancer. Dark skinned people are more predisposed to problems resulting from low D3 levels. Asthma is a frequent and preventable cause of death in African American children.

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this interview! It was very eye-opening. I had to laugh about the irony of the big fluffy emotional support dog on the plane. It's sad that we cater to one person's "emotional needs" to the detriment of someone else's physical health. Candace, good job at continuing to question the bill you got from the clinic. That is a great lesson for us.
I have good health and very good health insurance through my husband's employer, so I am very blessed. But I know that the issue of funding health care is difficult for a lot of people. I pray that we can work together and lobby together to dismantle all of the negative things in our healthcare system.

When your listeners comment that you need to talk less and let your guests speak, they are not "being mean." They are telling you that if you want to have a successful show, you need to be a good interviewer. You don't bill your show as a dialogue. If you're going to interview people, let them speak without interrupting. Yes, it is "your show," and you can speak, if you want, but if you want your show to be successful, please listen to honest and useful criticism from your viewers regarding your interviewing style.

As a family doctor, I got sick of the system that kept telling me I was a bad doctor because I couldn’t/wouldn’t see 22 patients a day. (Never mind that I had the highest patient satisfaction scores). So I left the system and started my own direct pay clinic where I can take as much time with my patients as they need. A 15 minute urgent care visit costs $75, 30 min visit is $150, 45 minute annual exam is $225 etc. It’s not as lucrative for me, but much more fulfilling. Patients can discuss one problem or ten. They pay for the time they use. The cost is transparent. I was also sick of seeing patients with chronic problems like asthma who never really get truly well. They are just given one drug after another to mask symptoms. What about physiology that we learned our first couple of years of medical school?!? Our bodies were created in a logical way! If you give it what it needs and remove the garbage it doesn’t…it’s programmed to heal! That’s why I began to study functional medicine and it’s been life changing for me and many of my patients. It teaches how to find the root cause of illness. I recommend going to https://www.ifm.org/find-a-practitioner/ to find someone who has had at least a little training in this concept. As an “open minded doc”, I never knew how much our medical education as been hijacked by big pharma until I attended the IFM intro course. I was so thrilled to have the tools I needed, and at the same time so pissed that the system is taking mostly well meaning people who want to help, and turning them into another cog in the wheel to generate profits for big medicine. There is a plethora of evidence based nutritional and physiological research out there! Be your own self advocate and start doing searches on PubMed! (There’s plenty of garbage out there too, so it’s wise to find someone to help you sort through it). Go to the now-Google-sensored websites of functional medicine leaders like Mark Hyman MD, Dr. Mercola MD, Dr. Axe DC, Jill Carnehan MD, Kara Fitzgerald ND, Dr. Perlmutter, etc etc. Candace, there is a strong possibility that you could put your asthma in remission, and no longer have to depend on albuterol and steroids! Please check out https://www.drkarafitzgerald.com/2017/05/03/functional-approach-asthma-allergic-sinusitis/ for a great explanation of a functional approach to that problem. Good luck and God bless you for your hard work. Keep standing for the truth!

We had that happen. My wife went to a Womens center that wa as in network but they didn't tell her that the person who read the xrays was from a facility that was out of network. We got a bill for $200 from them. We asked why the Womens center did not mention that before she got the xrays. We received no specific answer. Just that's the way it is.

What's even worse is that you have non qualified people telling you if a procedure is covered or not without knowing your history, knowing you personally or having to deal with what you have on a daily basis.
