Just started going through Jen Wilkin's "Sermon on the Mount" bible study with my small group. This video couldn't have come at a better time!

You said that different gospel authors using different words to describe or list what was said by Jesus is completely fine and the bible is still true and consistent.

My question is: if each author is capturing the gist of what was said, using quotes that are accurate to that meaning – but different to each other – do you study and focus on the small details? Can you, do you think?

    Thanks!
