The questioner can’t name the scholars and just started looking at the topic in question but he’s absolutely sure that the evidence falsifies what Frank is saying… 🤔

Exactly my spouse didn’t go to high school he went the first half of the 9th grade he is one of the smartest ppl not only I have met many ppl who meet him also see how intelligent he is. He was homeless at 18 couch surfing at friends and families houses. He went into a recruiting office to try to enlist they said you don’t have a high school diploma which at that time very few got in with GED’s they wanted high school diploma’s it was 1996. He went got his Ged then came back told them please just let me take the tests they tested him he got very good scores then several branches wanted him he went into the Navy. He was an electronic warfare technician when he got out in 2000 he got jobs helping to build the internet system he moved up didn’t get any college degree yet works as a network/software engineer, right now network engineer for Verizon work from home making good income. The fact that the individual accomplished that doesn’t mean all ppl who don’t go threw high school can or that none can cause he did. We all have our gifts that we are blessed with individually.

I don't know if this is true, but I was taught that some of the illiterate new testament bible writers had scribes to write for them. This was a common practice that people paid scribes to write.

Frank's argument escapes me in this particular situation. There was this dude named Alexander the great. He conquored the middle east. Greek was the language of commerce and trade at that time, for a long time, 150 years. Individuals who were involved in commerce and trade would have written and spoken Greek just as the Quebecers speak english in Canada if they want to conduct trade outside of Quebec. Luke was a doctor, he would have written and spoken Greek. Matthew was a tax collector, he would have spoken and written Greek. Mark was presumably versed in Greek. John was involved in a fishing business he would have spoken and written Greek. Paul was a well schooled pharisees, he would have spoken and written Greek. Paul mentions that he had Silas write for him when his eye site was going. Silas also wrote for Peter acting like a secretary of sorts.

Jesus spoke Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew. What is the question actually? When He was crucified, was not the description above the cross in Greek, Hebrew and Latin, if nobody spoke Greek why write it in Greek. You both miss a critical point, the Bible need to be read with the Holy Spirit and the truth would be revealed. You can Not read the gospel with a scholar or scientific mind set. Matthew if you want the truth, ask God directly the same question.

"We look at statistics & we look at evidence.."

Never cites statistics or evidence supporting his claims.

Saying that you look at stats & have evidence isn't a good argument. Citing them so a discussion can ensue is..

Alexander the Great. Capture and hellinzied the people from macadonian to the Indus River. It was the dominant language of the east. The Jews scripture was translated into Greeks I think this is called the sepulient (I'm not sure). It was highly liking speaking to gentiles cause few Jews listened that it was written in Greek

He wouldn’t know Greek? This guy doesn’t know anything. Greek was the common language of the eastern side of the Roman Empire at that time and later the Byzantine Empire.

Funny, I also study linguistics. Jesus would have certainly known Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Hellenism (Greek Culture) was all over the world.

The gospels and letters are remarkably consistent. Let me tell you, if you speak two languages fluently, then you can communicate ANY idea in either one.

How about the probability that mark had scribe write for him as he spoke the testament? Paul had a scribe?

Luke was a doctor who would have been able to speak and write in common Greek, what's to say that the other 3 synoptic gospels were dictated by Matthew, Mark and John to people who could write in common Greek? . To be fair to this kid, he's at the age where you believe you already know everything. He'll grow out of that 😊✝️
