Are Theists the Only People Who Have the “Burden of Proof”?

Is there a single, “can’t lose” argument for God’s existence or the truth of Christianity? Should we master one argument to share with others? Is there a better way to make the case and share the gospel? Detective Jimmy Wallace (J. Warner’s son) tackles these questions as part of his Incarnate Investigation Video Series.

"By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." So the video is correct. You must get to know the person you are talking to and pitch your argument to them individually. No pre-planned pitch will work. No one is impressed by your reasoning, but they are very impressed if you love them. How do you love? Pray! Ask God and He will start pouring His love into you. After that, almost any argument will work.

If you don’t follow the laws of God then you follow the laws man and I don’t have to explain how corrupt, self-serving and evil law makers are. This is the best reason for believing in a higher power. Ask an atheist, “Where do you get your values from?”

Prophecy, the book of Revelation. The book had described the world as it is today 2000 years back. Globalization, global governance, seceding sovereignty, digitalisation of people and financialisation of the world etc. Tell them within a decade or two they will be carrying their digital identity on their person for 'convenience'.

There isn't any one argument that's the most important to me. For me, it's the entire cumulative case for Christianity and how everything coheres. I remember a long time ago looking at various aspects of Christianity and various arguments for different things and then one day having this epiphany when I saw how it all fit together in one cohesive whole. It made all the sense in the world to me at that point, but it took a lot of reading and thinking to get there.

No one ever argued someone into believing, however, it is valuable to defend your beliefs. I love your videos.

I find all religions equal… Simply childish in nature and utterly untrue… However, a Creator is just as logical, if not more so, than a Universe existing forever, infinite in size without creation…… IF there is no Creator the Universe just happened to be there… a whole Universe???… a whole Universe in place of True Nothing……… This should be the focal point of all investigation for evidence of a Creator. Nothing else, esp written text that was written by man, should be considered… Just this one pure fact… a Universe existing without Creation…. What magic is this?… A whole Universe that just happens to be here… You just can't take it seriously…. A Creator on the other hand, might seem just as impossible, but at least that theory has a starting point… something to think about on a starry night and for the rest of your lives.

For me, so far the cosmological argument has been my personal favorite, still learning about new ones but, as of right now, the cosmological argument is one of my favorites. But I really like what you said there in the end, I agree, let’s learn a lot of different arguments and then when we get the chance, we will, basically, have a packed bag full of answers and arguments for specific persons.

I like the calm thought out love this guy has for people. How to find out what someone has that is tripping them up on why they don’t believe in God. Then spend time teaching them why there is a God.

In the 7 minutes he is talking in this video, 104 people died in the world. 6,200 in the very hour. 150,000 in this very 24 hours. And by the time I am done writing this, another 50 people will die somewhere in the world.

I learned a while back that if you solve one “issue” for someone that does not believe in God, they will find another issue, then another and another and so on. I firmly believe in What God says based on Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse”. When it says “without excuse” that means there is absolutely nothing one can say to God on judgment day that can justify your thoughts if He was real or not. Nothing! One can’t go up to God and say “but I just honestly didn’t know if you existed. God says there is no excuse, not one”.

So I don’t waste my time on trying to pull on heart strings and maneuver into the lane these so called “atheists” want answers for. It’s a complete waste of time. Everyone believes in God, a Creator. The question now becomes “Who is the Real God”?

The reason people don’t want to believe in God” is the same reason a criminal does not want to be a round a police officer.

John 3:19 “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.”

God let’s us know that He has put the law in our hearts.

Romans 2:14-15 “Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right.”

So therefore, we must preach that they, like us are a sinner which must be punished. But that Jesus came into this world to take out punishment for us, so that we would have everlasting life. We must repent and trust in Christ alone.

God tells us already that they know that, that they know they are a sinner. This is why they are hiding behind the “I don’t believe in God” thing. They love their sin!

Being kind and spending time with people is great. Teaching the Bible is great. Using apologetics is just fine…..after one is saved!

The only thing that works is allowing the Holy Spirit to convict them of their sin and allow Him and only Him to do the work. Just like when David sinned and was told of his sin, man did he sure repent and beg God for forgiveness.

We don’t have long and people are dying. Let’s get out and help save someone today!

Like your father the reason I am a Christian is because Christianity is true.
I started from Christianity and then verified it to my satisfaction. He started from ignorance and investigated the evidence to find truth. We ended up in the same place.

The survival of the nation of Israel. The biggest miracle after creation and the resurrection. The reality is, confirmed skeptics just raise their level of skepticism no matter how much evidence they are shown.

The truth is there is no smoking gun. There are people who will refuse God to his face in all his glory. Think of the devil, he knows God but will not bend the knee
