Judaism is the True Way.  1. "Christian worldview" is a mix of Jewish & Greco-Roman pagan thought.2. Christian's often Take credit for astronomical discoveries & scientific advances (some of which were taken from other civilizations or discovered simultaneously by Muslims).3. Many of the great musicians like Mozart & Beethoven were not very pious Christians e.g. Mozart was a FreeMason & the Church Rejected Galileo's science much like conservative Christians reject modern science today such as Climate Change4. If Conservative Christians want their Culture & Religion to be credited for Western Science  Then They need to Accept Blame for Darwin's Evolution! Darwin grew up in Christian England in a Conservative Christian family and was even going to be a Minister.  And Thomas Malthus was an Anglican Minister who first Proposed the "OverPopulation Theory" and suggested Population Control! These 2 ideas put together led to Social Darwinism in Germany and elsewhere to Weed out those unfit & sought to Control the increasing population.  I recently heard an Episcopalian Minister say at a Jewish-Christian meeting that "Christians are guilty as charged…Cultural Christianity is responsible for the Holocaust." 5. Christians Rightly Tells Us the Scriptures are Good for a Civil Society–I Agree-But the Scriptures reflect mainly a Hebraic/Jewish mindset since most of the Bible is the Old Testament, and even the Greek new testament was Written By Jews.

I totally agree – our worldview is something we aren't aware we're using (most of the time). The beauty of being self-aware beings is that we can metaphorically take off the lenses and look at what we believe. I think that's the really exciting part.

Want to know something cool? This video is part of my APOL 104 class at Liberty University! Which means a regionally accredited educational institution finds this worthy of including in academics.

This is not asking what a worldview is. It is simply saying, "If you don't view the world through the lens of Christianity then you are being bamboozled."

This video is amazing, like something right out of the Ministry of Truth (1984). This may be the best display of irony I've ever seen.

The men in this video offer and very robust and accurate depiction of what constitutes a worldview. Really. Very good, including insights about how worldview filters, shapes, and distorts our lives and our culture. Yet, right around the 1:20 minute mark, they make LOL remarks that include "All the non-Christian worldviews, whether atheistic or religious, are alternatives that are basically refusal to bow to the truth as God sees it."

No, my friend. This is not how "God sees it, but how YOU see it. This is YOUR worldview! And this worldview is not truth, but a invitation to adorn yourself with blinders, designed to ensure mass ignorance of any other truth. It screams "Keep out! Only we have the one true religion!" The three monkeys come to mind, no see, no hear, no say.

Orwell said it best: "Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.” They won't get any of this, but maybe you will.

What a sadly narrow and simplistic view of reality and human nature. The notion that simple cessation and rejection of independent thinking and agreeing to a religious perspective is the solution to all your problems is dangerous and is the kind of logic that produces cults and pedophile priests

God is the most natural explanation for the existence of the universe and life.
All other explanations are deeply flawed.

WARNING: My opinions are my own, I wish not to shove my beliefs down anyone's throat. Read if you want to.
In response to your comment about the bible not being astoundingly provable,  I offer my thoughts. Time after time, evolutionary believers have said the bible's events are false. Now the supernatural parts are excusable, as those who say things like that believe that all things are natural. However, quite a lot of historical evidence ( real evidence, not worldview-based) has been found, and that evidence always corresponded to biblical events and societies. Also, worldview is not the only thing needed to see some flaws in evolutionist thoughts. When it comes to evolution, the definition is the changing of one organism to another. However, there have been very, very few transitional fossils found, and many that are shown in museums and textbooks are drawings based on what the artist and scientists believe the creature looked like. Natural selection is true and testable however, but the reason and origin behind it has to be interpreted through a worldview. Now, I don't know too much about it, but I've heard that the layers of dust on the moon should be much thinker had the earth been around for billions of years. I don't believe I am stupid for believing these things, and if I am called that by you, I will probably not respond. But if you wish to have a proactive, calm and rational conversation on differing opinion, please respond.

This worldview is why science and critical thinking should be trusted over religious dogma. The tendency to believe what you want and then set out to prove it is called confirmation bias. Science is a system that uses techniques specifically to find truth regardless of the researchers "worldview". It isn't perfect but it works. On the other hand, many (not all) religious evangelizers rely on "worldview" to avoid the challenges that reasoning brings to their belief. When you do this, you are making yourself God.

@haleyI52, no human being on the planet can "prove" to you that their religion is true. God gives us all free will and the individual can seek him for themselves or not. The choice is yours to search for him. The ONLY thing we can do is witness and testify to the works of the unseen hand of God in our lives. I am 100% certain of God for myself all I could do for you is give you directions on how to find him yourself. it's an opportunity and choice for the person. God wants a relationship. 🙂

I agree, Jesus Christ came into the world to fulfil the law.
Matthew 5:17, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.Jesus Christ came into the world as a demonstration of God's Love.
1 John 4:10, "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."

    1 Corinthians 2:14
14 But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.

As the class is designed to help arm the student with the necessary tools to defend what they believe while also living at peace with unbelievers, just as Christ did. The idea is that we can talk about our beliefs and why we believe in Christ and also show respect toward each other even though we may not agree on our beliefs. 🙂

as it was stated, the video is part of a Christian college course (it is additional material) and also includes several written articles and two different books on the subject that goes much more in depth. The video is simply a tool that primes the mind for the material for this particular week of study. I would employ you to actually take the complete 8 week study on the material before you came to a hasty conclusion as to what it is all about. 🙂 God Bless you!

and why would he be willing to die for us if he did not understand what he was dyeing for? The very definition of intellectual-mental, cognitive, rational, abstract, conceptual, theoretical, analytical, logical. Jesus's worldview was to show the contrast of God's nature to the world so that we may understand God through the example of Christ. There are several accounts of his intellect not being welcome with open arms, just as it is today. He didn't just tell people what they wanted to hear.

That is a fallacy. Christ was the embodiment of the "Word of God" including intellectual understanding of all things. If Jesus did not have an intellectual world view then how did he communicate what he saw within the hearts of those around him and speak truth or bring issues into the light or use analogies (parables) to convey his message? Christ had the embodiment of God's mind, keeping is body pure for us. Many rejected him because they didn't have the intellectual capacity of his message.

It definately appears like that to me – for anyone looking at it without the "lens" of faith it's little more than self-congratulatory hubris and philosophical arrogance.
These kind of opinions show the negative side of christian faith with none of the positive.

You're free, Otsile, to do as you please. No one here is making you believe anything. The question that remains is what you ought to believe, and obviously the opinion on this video is that Christianity is the most compelling view; it is not blind. We don't have to accept it, but reason tells us that we should have some pretty good reasons for giving our lives to a certain view of the world. In the end, it would be tragic, if we gave ourselves to a worldview that is false.

If you're interested in questions of evolution and its evidence then look it up. It's not for me to be your tutor is it? Learn about the fossil record, carbon dating, how cancer cells adapt and so on. You are mistunderstanding the use of "theory" in scientific method too. Evolution is a fact becasue we can verify that it happens. Darwin's natural selection is the theory which explains evolution. When you hear "The theory of Evolution", the theory part is referring to natural selection.

can you give any evidence for evolution? what about plants? how do you explain the occurrence of plants? animals? while i completely agree with you that mindless faith in Christ and God seem very radical without evidence, not a single shard of truth can be deduced based off anything we have ever found. Darwin, the man who theorized evolution, yes i said theorized because it is not a fact, claimed he did not have the answer but expected us to find it in the near future… still no evidence…

Simply wiping your hands and saying oh well God must have done eveything is quite a limited and stupefying answer. Everything I see outside has perfectly provable explanation without invoking God. Lets see… my car, the road, plants, animals etc. Have you heard of evolution? or even construction? Where exactly does your man fit in?

@amul83 Two decades is nothing when it comes to ancient history. Most of the people who actually saw and experienced what Jesus did could have easily contradicted the early writings had they not been true.

@chuckiej OK I see what you mean by evidence then. Consider this please: The first account of the resurrection was written by Paul (originally Saul of Tarsus) at least two decades after it was supposed to have happened. Paul never met or knew Jesus anytime around the crucifiction but later claimed to have seen him in his great conversion. Some believe in divine revelation if you want but it's a fair old stretch to call it 'evidence'. I think the case is pretty flimsly myself. No disrespect

@amul83 Jesus' resurrection from the dead. One piece of evidence: All the apostles (minus Judas) had survived a pretty crazy situation where their leader got axed. The logical course of action is to hide, wait for it to cool off, then go about being a normal person. Instead 2 days after His death they all start spreading the word He is alive. Pretty moronic if he actually wasn't alive.
