Does God’s Sovereignty Rob Us of Our Freedom?

J. Warner Wallace answers questions following a presentation at Ohio State University. If God allows certain forms of human evil to protect the free agency of his created beings, why would he allow someone to act freely at the expense of another’s free agency? Why wouldn’t God preserve everyone’s free agency? Does the fact that a victim’s free will is limited in an act of evil eliminate this common defense offered by Christian apologists?

A Correction here is needed. The correct film that was supposed to be mentioned was 'The Giver' (2014) and not the one mentioned in this brief video clip. Sorry about folks.

Frank Turek says that God loves us all the same, no matter what kind of people we are.

I've always asked that same question! Why is God allowing other people to use there free will to take from you! Why would he allow this person to play God in your life!!! God knowing all and being creator of all…he already knows what the individual is going to do before they even do it!!!! Who protected him or her? Who got them there safely? Who woke them up and gave them the strength to do it? If God is our protection, provider, healer, and lots more! Where is he when he's watching it but doing nothing to stop it? So it's like he's denying one, while allowing the other….can you or anyone please explain this! Thank you in advance!

Eliminating the ABILITY to rape, doesn't have anything to do with taking away our free will. We can't grow wings and fly yet we still have our free will. If a potential rapist cannot rape, he/she also still has his/her free will.

The questioner needs to be taught what free will is.
